X-men Supreme Issue 53: District X Part 2 PREVIEW

It's a big day for Marvel comics fans all over the country! Today is the day that the Avengers movie finally comes out. I'm very excited as I'm sure every Marvel fan is, but my excitement over the Avengers has not made me negate my work with the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I still work hard to ensure that X-men Supreme continues to move forward. As it just so happens, the X-men are in the midst of a major three-part arc in this fanfiction series. District X is an arc that brings to light the more social aspects of the human/mutant conflict the X-men confront. It's not all just fighting Magneto and giant robots. The X-men have always been a metaphor for civil rights and this arc strikes at the heart of that conflict. The next part will pit mutant against human, brother against brother, and so much more! As such, I've prepared a brief preview.

“NO JUSTICE NO PEACE! NO JUSTICE NO PEACE! NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!”

This was the mantra of the massive mutant riot that was consuming the city just outside the south end of District X. Dozens of mutant chanted these words as they lashed out against the world around them. Spurred by the attack on Pixie and led by Havok, they banded together and used their mutant powers to send a message.

Mutants of many different powers and appearances used their abilities to unleash destruction and strike fear upon petrified civilians. One mutant with electrical powers sent a surge into the light posts lining the city, shorting them out in a dazzling display. Another with big, muscular arms lifted a large pickup truck over his head and threw it into a nearby store. One female mutant with reptilian features punched into a nearby car and tore into the interior while a fellow mutant next to her used bluish flames from his fingertips to ignite the vehicle. When it exploded, it send a cheer throughout the streets and embolden the crowd.

“That’s right! Show them these are our streets too!” yelled Havok, “Show them they can’t hurt one of our own and not pay a price!”

The destruction spread and standing right in the path of the oncoming rioters were Wolverine and Storm. It was not a pleasant sight and one that wouldn’t go over well during an election year. But the greater social ramifications were lost on Wolverine as he drew his claws and stared down the leader of the riot.

“I don’t know who this punk thinks he is, but I’m pretty sure I hate his guts!” he growled.

“This is terrible! What is going on here?”

“Does it matter? We got us a hell of a fight on our hands! Couple hundred mutants against us…I like those odds!”

“I know this is a foolish question to ask, but shouldn’t we call the rest of the X-men before we act so brazenly?” said Storm.

Before they could even contemplate such a notion, the same hulking figure from earlier threw another heavy car. This time it was flung far ahead of the riot and into a populated building. It crashed between the second and third floor of a busy storefront, causing great destruction and sparking a fire. In addition, several terrified people were caught in the chaos and cried out for help.

“Somebody help us! Please!” begged a woman as she protectively hovered over two young children.

Upon seeing this, their predicament was clear. There was no time to understand this situation. They had to act.

“Better get that, darlin’! We don’t need to start a body count just yet!” said Wolverine.

“Agreed!” said the African woman, “But what will you do?”

“You gonna ask another foolish question or are you gonna fight?” he grunted as he ran towards the heart of the riot.

Storm grunted in frustration, but she had no time to debate his brash actions. Her eyes flashed white and she took to the air. She quickly formed some storm clouds overhead to put out the fires with rain. Then she kicked up a wind storm to get the women and children out. They cowered at first in her presence, but were grateful when they were flown to safety. As she set them down, more heavy debris flew out from the riot. It headed towards more civilians, but Storm was able to redirect it with her winds. The people were trying to get away, but they just weren’t fast enough.

While she was taking care of the civilians, Wolverine set his sights on Havok. He was running full speed, passing civilians along the way and dodging rocks and other debris. He figured if he was going to stop this mess, he had to hit at the source.

“That’s far enough, bub! Hrrraahhhh!” he roared.

Havok was caught by minor surprise when he saw the feral figure attack through the dust and smoke. He tried to react and counter the move, but Wolverine was too fast. He was quickly pinned to the pavement, his bullhorn shattering in the process.

“Augh! Who the hell do you think you are?!” exclaimed Havok.

“I’m a doctor! I give a special kind of therapy to punks like you!” snarled Wolverine, pointing his claws at Havok’s neck.

“You think you can stop this? The people of District X will never be stopped! Not until we make our stand!”

“I got your stand right here!” said the feral mutant, pushing his claws right up to his jugular, “Now are you gonna call this off or is this gonna have to get messy?”

“It already has!”

While many comic book fans are obsessing over the Avengers movie, I will still do my part to keep X-men prominent here on X-men Supreme. I've had a few requests at times to get other Marvel characters involved in the world of X-men Supreme. Believe me, I wish I could. In an ideal world, I would make Marvel Universe 1015 as expansive as 616. Unfortunately, I do not have enough time or energy, nor do I have sufficient incentive. I spend a great deal of time making sure the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is of sufficient quality. So for the time being, I simply cannot include other characters like Spider-Man, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four. But if someone out there is willing to give it a try and respect what I've established here in X-men Supreme, please contact me and I'll be happy to talk! In the meantime, X-men Supreme will continue to update regularly and I hope to have a bio ready for Havok after the conclusion of the District X arc. Until next time, take care and best wishes everybody! Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 48: The Good, The Bad, The Sinister Part 2 PREVIEW

I've been hard at work on the next issue of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. The latest arc, The Good, The Bad, The Sinister, began with a few revelations and a little deception. That's to be expected when a man like Sinister is involved. He has a history of tormenting the X-men in some very creative ways and I hope to capture that essance with the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. While the Sinister Intent arc helped introduce him, this arc will help readers understand what makes Sinister tick in the world of X-men Supreme. Moreover, it'll reveal some major secrets that I've only been hinting at to this point. I'm very excited about this arc and as such I've prepared a brief preview of what you can expect from this important issue.

“Logan…it’s time to wake up.”

Those deep, menacing words roused in him the angry Wolverine. In a burst of anger and rage, he plowed through the veil of unconsciousness.

“Hrrrrrraahhhhhhhhhh!” he roared

With renewed strength surging through his body, he shot up from his unmoving state in a burst of rage. He was expecting to wake up in some dingy lab strapped to a gurney with wires going into his body. But what he got instead was completely unexpected.

As Logan shot up, opening his eyes and drawing his claws, he found himself on a nice comfortable bed instead of a metal gurney. There were no shackles or wires. There wasn’t even a laboratory around him. Instead, he was in what looked like a cabin in the mountains. There were wooden walls, nice animal-fur carpets, and an old fashioned wood stove. It wasn’t unlike the many cabins he stayed in throughout his life in Canada.

But as nice a surprise this was, Logan was still suspicious.

“You gotta be freakin’ kidding me!” he snarled as he slipped out of the bed, his claws still drawn, “This someone’s idea of a sick joke?”

“It’s no joke, I assure you.”

Logan swiftly turned around to see that the voice that had been calling out to him belonged to Madelyn Pryor. She was now standing behind his bed, wearing the same revealing outfit he remembered from the forest. She had the same menacing smirk on her face and Logan was prepared to rip into her on the spot.

“You! This another one of your mind games?!” he roared, holding his claws up to her throat.

“Oh please,” she scoffed, “If I were attacking you telepathically, you would not be in such a peaceful setting. You would be tied up, bound, and caged like the animal you are.”

“How kinky,” said Logan dryly, “That mean I’ll have to start carving you up to get you to tell me where I am?”

“And ruin my perfect figure? Please,” said Madelyn casually, “I’d be happy to tell you where you are, but I’ll leave that to someone with much greater insight.”

The front door to the cabin then opened. Logan shot around again, this time coming face-to-face with someone that pissed him off even more. It was Sinister and he had the same snide grin as Madelyn.

“Hello Wolverine,” he greeted, “Nice to see you alert and well-rested.”

Logan growled as he turned his rage towards the imposing figure. With murderous intent, he lunged towards Sinister with every intention of ripping him to shreds.

“You!” he roared, “You’re as ugly as Jeannie said you were!”

“Did she also mention I could do this?”

With a snide grin, Sinister raised his hand and hit Logan with a healthy dose of telekinesis. It stopped him just as Logan’s claw was about to make contact with his face. It wasn’t enough to knock him back. It was just enough to freeze him in place. Before he could regroup, Sinister clenched his fist and put the feral mutant into a firm telekinetic hold. Logan continued to thrash, forcing Madelyn to come in and help. But Sinister remained undaunted. He didn’t even look surprised.

“You ugly fucking excuse for a clown! I’ll kill you for this lousy stunt!” roared the raging Logan.

“Oh is it really so lousy?” taunted Madelyn, “It worked didn’t it?”

“I’ll kill you too for playing your part as psycho bitch!”

“Please dispense with such juvenile threats. I didn’t go through the trouble of trapping you so you could spew obscenities.”

“Yeah right! You give Cyke and Jeannie the same courtesy when you snatched them up last time?!” roared Logan, “I should gut you just for that!”

“Trust me, you don’t want to do that,” taunted Sinister, “Even if such an act is physically impossible with my body.”

“Trust me, nothing would be more satisfying!”

“Would it? Because if somehow you kill me, you would be killing one of the few people left in this world who can give you answers about your past. And you do seek answers, don’t you, Logan? Or should I say, Weapon X?”

While I continue to work on the latest arc for X-men Supreme, I also plan on doing a few updates. This includes new entries in the bios section and the pics section. However, while I am determined to keep these sections up to date, I've been a little disappointed by the lack of reviews and feedback I've been getting lately. It feels like it has been declining since X-men Supreme Volume 3: Ashes of Hope began. I work long and hard on this fanfiction series. It's important that I get feedback and support. I'm always encouraging people to contact me and I mean it. I really do want to know what people think of X-men Supreme and I want feedback so I can make this website better. So please keep that in mind as this fanficiton series moves forward. I want to do so many things with X-men Supreme, but that won't be possible if others don't enjoy it. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the future of this fanfiction series. Excelsior!

Issue 2: Enter the Wolverine Preview

It's that time again! Every Friday Marvel comes out with new previews for upcoming comics. As such, it's only fair I do the same. Coming out in one week on January 15th is Issue 2 of X-men Supreme. Titled "Enter the Wolverine" it should give Wolverine fans something to cheer about. Below is a preview of what you can expect.

The vast pine forest of the Canadian wilderness was an unforgiving terrain. Between the cold, the predators, and the rugged terrain only the hardiest of beings had any chance of survival. It was deep in this unforgiving environment that a lone figure rested motionlessly in the snow. He was short, burly, and heavily muscled. Wearing only a pair of tattered jeans, his body was very much exposed to the icy winds.

There were traces of battle scars all over his body. The smell of blood hung in the air around him. He looked as though he had just emerged from a brutal fight. By all accounts, he appeared dead. His unmoving figure soon attracted attention. A lone grizzly out looking for a meal caught his scent and began sniffing around the motionless body. Snarling hungrily, the beast tipped the body with it’s nose to see if it was alive. There was no response, indicating the creature was ripe for predation. Showing it’s sharp teeth, the grizzly prepared to dig into it’s latest catch.

Suddenly, the burly man’s eyes shot open and erupted into a feral rage.

“RAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

Out of his knuckles, three metal claws popped out with the sound of a snikt. And before the grizzly could react the burly man viciously attacked the creature, plunging his claws deep into its neck. The grizzly tried to fight him off, but it was too late. Blood spewed forth from the animal’s veins as it howled out in agony. Soon, the body of the imposing predator lay dead and the feral figure stood covered in blood with a demeanor more animal than man.

Looking down at his claws, he was very confused.

‘What happened? Where am I? Who am I?’

These burning questions echoed in his twisted mind. He had only a fuzzy recollection of how he got here. He remembered a bloody fight, being knocked out cold, and waking up strapped to a gurney. From there it got really hazy. He remembered men in lab coats surrounding him, poking and prodding him with needles and chemicals. It was painful, evoking in him a burning rage that overwrote any semblance of humanity.

From there it went dark. The next thing he remembered was fighting his way out. Blurry visions of him breaking his restrains and attacking his enemies flashed before his eyes. He remembered tearing through dozens of armed guards and scientists. Their screams of yells still echoed through his mind. He had been operating on complete rage then. He couldn’t control himself. But something was different now.

Then suddenly, he looked down and his eyes fell upon a dog tag he had around his neck that bore a haunting name.

‘Logan…my name is, Logan.’

There you have it! There's plenty more to come so join me on January 15th as Wolverine joins X-men Supreme!
