X-men Supreme Issue #101: Prison Break Part 2 is LIVE!

There have been many big battles over the course of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Some have been on a global scale. Some have even been on a cosmic scale. But oftentimes, the battles that are the most personal are the battles that have the greatest impact. Some of the most important battles in the history of X-men, and the history of Marvel Comics in general, have had a very personal touch to them. The Phoenix Saga is the best example, but it need not be on a cosmic scale and it need not involve overwhelming power. In X-men Supreme, numerous personal battles are often fueled by vendettas and the Prison Break arc is no exception.

Numerous conflicts have unfolded thus far in this arc. Wolverine is taking on a new role on Genosha as an extra set of eyes to oversee the treaty with Genosha. The Purifiers, with help from Colonel Wraith and Arcade, are seeking to free Graydon Creed from his prison cell, but ended up releasing the unstoppable Juggernaut in the process. But the most personal conflict has come from Emma Frost. In X-men Supreme, Emma’s history is filled with instances of her being caught up in someone else’s vendetta. Since her role in the Phoenix Saga, she has been seeking to free herself of this burden once and for all by taking away the leverage that Sebastian Shaw used against her for years. But to do so, she has to go through Sebastian’s son, Shanobi Shaw, whose devious ambition is the key to all these conflicts.

Throughout this fanfiction series, I’ve given many characters big moments. Wolverine had his in The Lotus and the Warrior. Jean Grey had hers in the Phoenix Saga. Gambit had his in Cajun Chaos. Now Emma Frost is about to have hers. I intend this arc to be Emma’s defining moment in X-men Supreme. The fight to save her clone daughters, the Stepford Cuckoos, will reveal the strength and depth of her character. Her past in the context of this fanfiction series, as well as the future of her character, will be revealed through this struggle. I know Emma Frost has many passionate fans out there and I believe this arc will ensure that X-men Supreme has a special place in their hearts.

X-men Supreme Issue 101: Prison Break Part 2

Defining character moments are among the most satisfying moments in comics. They are also the most difficult in terms of crafting. I’ve tried to make sure there are plenty here in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Expect plenty more moving forward. I want fans of characters like Emma Frost to cherish these moments in X-men Supreme as they do in the comics. That’s why I’m especially interested in hearing from Emma Frost fans for this arc. I’m always interested in hearing from any type of fan, but it’s important to me that fans of certain characters feel like I’ve handled them with care.
