Sexy Side-Project: Havok and X-23's One-Night Stand

It’s the middle of summer. It’s hot. It’s humid. We all feel sweaty and sticky after just a minute outside and parked cars might as well be ovens. In other words, it’s the perfect time of year for another sexy side-project!

I’m still forging ahead with X-men Supreme. I’m preparing the X-men for a cosmic arc that will offer a badly needed reprieve from the doom and gloom of the X-men comics right now. However, while cosmic stories are plenty fun, there’s still room for something sexy on the side. When it’s this hot and muggy out, why not throw a little something sexy into the mix?

Once again, I’m adding in some uncut material to the world of X-men Supreme. I’ve already explored plenty of “unrated” moments between couples like Cyclops/Phoenix, Wolverine/Storm, and Iceman/Kitty Pryde (which I wrote before Iceman came out as gay in the comics, mind you). However, the moment I chose for this story isn’t between an established romance. It’s not even between a couple that have dated or had a meaningful interaction in X-men Supreme to date. Instead, this story is about a single, one-night stand between two characters who have played major roles in this fanfiction series to date. These are two characters who don’t have much of a fan base and will never hook up in the comics, but here in X-men Supreme, they can have one sexy night together.

Those two characters in question are Havok and X-23. Yes, I’m talking about these two.

Why them? Well, ignoring for a moment that you don’t need many reasons for a one-night stand, these are two characters who walked a similar path in X-men Supreme. They’re both runaways who lived on the streets for a while. They’re both fighters and survivors of harsh circumstances. They’ve both endured heavy losses and hardships, albeit in different ways. They’ve both had major impacts on X-men Supreme at some point. For that reason, along with the added incentive of being young and horny, I think they’re perfect for a one-night stand.

This hidden moment within the vast sea that is X-men Supreme occurs before Havok encountered the X-men and before X-23 encountered Wolverine the first time. Specifically, it takes place shortly before the District X arc. It unfolds over the course of a single night and for all intents and purposes, it may be the most meaningful interaction that Havok and X-23 have. Both will be showing up in X-men Supreme in other stories. However, this moment is theirs to share.

In the middle of summer, I like to think my sexy side projects supplement the heat in all the right ways. I have more in the works. They’re still pending. When I’m ready to post them, I’ll make an announcement. When I’m close to finishing, I’ll drop a few hints on Twitter. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy this. Stay cool in the summer heat, but stay sexy as hell. Nuff said!

Free Giveaway: Child of Orcus

Let's face it. There isn't a lot of free shit in the world anymore. Everything costs something. If it's not your money, then it's your time, pride, and dignity. Reality TV, telemarketers, and Mormon missionaries are proof of that. As for the shit that is free, it tends to be just that. Shit.

Well, for the next five days, I hope to take that concept and kick it in the balls. As part of my ongoing efforts to actually make a living writing books, I'm going to be giving away my first ever published book, "Child of Orcus," for free. Not at a discount. Not in exchange for a review or a picture of your tits. Free.

You literally cannot get a better deal than this without resorting to prostitution. If you have an Amazon account, which half the population does to some degree, you can read my first book. If you enjoy X-men Supreme or any of my other writing, you'll likely enjoy the shit out of this. It's full of teen drama, magic, betrayal, and emotional upheaval. It's basically everything Marvel and DC tries to thrust into their comics lately, but they still charge for their shit. I'm not charging for this. So please, my wonderful audience, take advantage of this! Read "Child of Orcus" and let it brighten your summer!

Bear in mind, this offer is limited. This offer will last for only five days. I need beer money at some point. The purpose of this offer is to help build my audience and share my work. It is my sincere hope that those who enjoy this story will check out my other stories. Like I said, I want to make a career out of writing. This is just a step in a much larger process. Enjoy!

X-men Supreme Issue 138: Outer Limits Part 2 PREVIEW!

The X-men are taking one giant leap for mutant kind in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Ever since X-men Supreme Issue 46: Paradise Mystery, a conflict has been brewing in the stars. A war is raging within the Shi’ar Empire. That war already became very personal when Lilandra Neramani’s alien heritage was revealed in the Starcrossed arc. Now, that war finally finds its way to the X-men. The Outer Limits arc has begun and this fanfiction series is about to enter a bold and dangerous new era.

It’s a different kind of conflict for the X-men, but one they have faced before in X-men Supreme. They’ve shown in the Phoenix Saga that they can go head-to-head with a cosmic power and win. Jean Grey, in particular, has demonstrated her uncanny ability to wield the cosmic power of the Phoenix Force. It proved instrumental in the battle against the Cambrian in the Cambrian Explosion. It has also been growing within her and throughout the history of the X-men, this rarely turns out well.

However, what unfolds in the X-men comics won’t necessarily unfold in this fanfiction series. X-men Supreme is about to explore the breadth of the Shi’ar Empire, but don’t expect to see the same Shi’ar that has been depicted in the comics or cartoons. When I wrote X-men Supreme Issue 46: Paradise Mystery and the Starcrossed arc, I had a very specific vision for the Shi’ar. I didn’t want them to just be a reason for the X-men to go on cosmic adventures, although that is a nice bonus. There’s a larger story at work here and one I’m finally exploring with Outer Limits.

The first issue of this arc hit the ground running by having Lilandra Neramani return to Earth with help from Corsair of the Starjammers. Since the Starcrossed arc, she has been on the run constantly from her sadistic half-brother, D’ken. As the legal heir to the Shi’ar Empire, she is the greatest threat to his power. At the moment, D’ken is uncomfortably close to eliminating that threat once and for all. Once again, Lilandra will need to rely on the X-men and a still-ailing Charles Xavier to save her.

But why exactly is D’ken so determined to destroy any threats to his power? Why did his Imperial Guard seem so reluctant to come to Earth in the Starcrossed arc? Why does it seem the Shi’ar have an intimate familiarity with Earth? These are all pressing questions and the answers are unlike anything the X-men comics have ever attempted before. I hope to break new ground with the X-men and their cosmic adventures here in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. The Outer Limits arc is just first step, but it will definitely be the most important. As always, I’ve prepared an extended preview of the X-men's latest cosmic journey.

“Charles,” said Lilandra, finally breaking her silence, “Why would he do this to himself? Did my leaving have something to do with it?”

“No Lilandra. This wasn’t because of you,” said Jean.

“I don’t believe that, Jean. You may think you know him, but when you love someone that deeply…well, you can make the connections.”

Jean was about to counter this point. She decided not to. In her experience with Scott, she knew first hand what those connections were like. Lilandra’s love for Xavier was strong, much more so than she thought she understood.

“Charles once told me that his health always humbled him,” she said sadly, “It reminded him that he was living on borrowed time. He felt that having survived cancer, his body would eventually turn on him again. He was always so intent on making the most of this time. It makes it easier for him to justify taking such foolish risks!”

“I admit it was foolish. Who’s to say he wouldn’t have done it if you had been there?” asked Jean.

“Because when I was with him, it didn’t feel like borrowed time. He once joked that perhaps he survived because he was destined to meet me. We both laughed, but I didn’t think it was funny. He may have been right. If only I had been there for him, he may have thought twice.”

“Or it could’ve been worse. We don’t know. We can’t know,” added Jean.

“In either case, I just…I wish I could have been there. He’s not the only one who has been in pain. I went from a simple activist to the last hope of an alien civilization. Billions of aliens as innocent and scared as any human now expect me to stop D’ken. I’m not sure I can be that royal savior they expect me to be. I know if Charles was by my side, he would give me the strength.”

“I wish he was here as well. I’m sure he would say all the right things,” said Jean with another comforting gesture, “That gives us all the more reason to get through this. Look at it this way. By the time you defeat D’ken, the Professor should be better. Then you’ll be able to bust his chops over all his foolish decisions.”

“As appealing as that sounds, I’m not sure I can defeat D’ken at this point,” she said, “He’s working on something big…something I can sense, but cannot understand. For all I know, he’ll have succeeded by the time we fix the Starjammer. How can we have so much at our disposal yet still be so powerless?”

Jean didn’t offer an answer. Nobody seemed to have an answer. It was enough to give Lilandra another headache. This was something Charles was good at dealing with, being powerful in some ways and limited in others. For all she knew, she may not see him again. It was difficult to contemplate. Turning back towards Jean, she tried to carry herself with greater strength.

“I’m sorry for brooding, Jean. I just feel so helpless in that…”

The Shi’ar royalty stopped in mid-sentence when she saw a strange look on Jean’s face. She was clutching her head as well, but it looked much worse than a headache. It was as if something was attacking her from outside and she was trying to shut it out.

“Jean? Are you alright?” asked Lilandra with more concern.

“What’s going on?” said Logan, who noticed as well, “What’s wrong with Jeannie?”

“The crystal…it’s getting stronger. We cannot stop it if we continue wasting time!”

“Whoa! That didn’t sound like Jean,” said Rogue, the rest of the team taking note as well.

“It isn’t,” dreaded Hank, “It’s the Phoenix Force!”

“Does that mean it’s about to get worse?” dreaded Lilandra.

“I’ve little time to explain. I must push the limits of my power once more! Hang on, X-men!”

A blinding white flash erupted through the ship. Lilandra and the rest of the X-men covered their eyes as Jean casually floated up in her seat, now surrounded by cosmic flames. They had seen her utilize the Phoenix Force before, but not like this. These flames were different. They were white hot, burning with a different kind of intensity. Some of the X-men tried to get up, but were telekinetically forced back into their seat.

“Jean! Phoenix! What are you doing?” exclaimed Ororo.

“What needs to be done.”

In another blinding flash, Jean’s Phoenix uniform changed. It shifted back to the full body outfit that she wore when the Phoenix Force first manifested in her. However, instead of green or dark read, the outfit was white. It seemed to match the white hot flames that were surrounding her. While the X-men were watching this in amazement, the Starjammer was suddenly jolted by a new round of turbulence.

“What the hell is going on back there?” yelled Corsair from the cockpit, “The power core just surged and none of the controls are working!”

“That’s because I am in control right now. It is only through the cosmic power of the Phoenix that we have a chance at stopping the coming destruction.”

Corsair wrestled with the controls. He ended up getting telekinetically shoved back into his seat, his limbs held down as if they had a hundred pounds of weight bearing down him. He could only watch as the Starjammer was completely engulfed in white flames. As more turbulence surged through the ship, it started moving at even greater speeds. Back in the passenger area, the rest of the X-men held on through the added G-forces.

“Whoa! Does stopping destruction have to be this rough?” groaned Bobby.

“Do you really need to ask?” muttered Rogue.

“This discomfort is necessary. We will arrive at our destination in under two minutes. Do as I say and you might survive.”

“Might?!” exclaimed Corsair.

“Do not argue with the Phoenix Force, Corsair! It is a losing battle!” said Hank, who gripped his seat tightly, “She knows what she’s doing! Let us see where she takes us! She may lead us to the answers we seek!”

There’s a lot of doom, gloom, and sterilization going on in the X-men comics right now. More than ever, I want to tell a different kind of story in X-men Supreme. There is no time travel and there are no clones. Where else will you get an X-men story like that these days? As such, it’s important that I continue to receive feedback on this fanfiction series. Since it is so different from the comics or cartoons, I want to make it as awesome as possible. I can only do that if I continue to get feedback and support from X-men fans of all kinds. Either contact me directly or post your comments directly in the issue. I’m always happy to chat and I’m certainly open to criticism of all kinds. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Xcelsior!

Marvel's Death of X Announcement: Cyclops' Fate To Be Revealed

Strap on your rubber boots, X-men fans, because the shit is about to get deeper. You've heard me go on many drunken rants about this topic all year. I only remember parts of those rants, but I rant with good reason. After Secret Wars, Marvel went from having Cyclops form peaceful assemblies in Washington DC to becoming the most hated person in the Marvel universe who isn't a clone of Spider-Man. It's a situation that involves so much WTF that no amount of drunken rants can do it justice.

Well today, Marvel finally announced that this gaping oversight that has strained my ability for drunken rants is going to be addressed in an upcoming series called Death of X. Doesn't sound ominous at all, does it? Well, here are some details and I think I speak for every X-men fan when I say I'm clenching my asshole accordingly.

Continuing its steady stream of new series reveals, Marvel Comics has announced a new X-Men series -- "Death of X."

Announced via EW, the four-issue series comes from writers Charles Soule and Jeff Lemire and artist Aaron Kuder and will answer a question X-Fans have been asking for months: What happened during the 8-month gap after "Secret Wars"? All that's known so far is that Cyclops was involved in a massive war with the Inhumans -- a war that cost him his life and reputation.

"We’ll definitely see some characters who have been missing in action since the series launch,” Lemire told EW. "We’ll answer the question of where certain mutants have been, and what’s happened to them. Cyclops is the big one, he’s the one we’ve said was dead and that’s all we’ve really said. His death was very controversial, so obviously that’ll be a big part of the story we’re telling here"

"Death of X" was first announced in March, when Marvel debuted an enigmatic teaser image with a Fall 2016 date. The new artwork, featuring a screaming Cyclops against a background of mutants and Inhumans, incorporates the original's "Death of X" logo into its design.

The event's name has already inspired a month of "Death of X"-themed variant covers from Marvel; throughout July, art depicting the final moments of 20 different mutants will grace the covers of Marvel's releases.

"Death of X" arrives in October.

So what do we make of this? Well, I suck at predicting the future. If I didn't, I'd have made a fuckton of money in the stock market by now. So I'm not going to assume too much. However, I think there are some telling clues based on all the shit that has been going on in the X-men comics.

More than anything else, All-New X-men and Extraordinary X-men have belabored the point that Cyclops is evil. Storm even gave a big fucking speech about how evil Cyclops is and how horrible his deeds were. Without knowing those deeds, drunks like me had to assume way too much. Did he bang another vindictive telepath or something? Did he shit in Spider-Man's garden? It's hard to say, sober or otherwise.

Well, this teaser effectively sends one particular message. First and foremost, he's dead. No clones. No cosmic forces. Cyclops is definitely dead and barring any further time travel shit storms, he'll stay that way. Second, he did something really fucking terrible and did it intentionally. Worst, he did it to the Inhumans, who are basically Marvel's prized bitches at the moment. Nothing they do is wrong. Hell, the editors at Marvel probably use their farts as air fresheners. So it has to be pretty fucking egregious.

The only logical conclusion, logical being a loaded term for a drunk, is that Cyclops went full genocidal. There's no other way around it. I should probably put a spoiler alert because it's rare that I'm this confident about a prediction, let alone one I make while sober. Cyclops finds out that the clouds of Inhuman farts are killing and sterilizing mutants. He tries to do something about it. The Inhumans don't do enough. Having just led the mutant race back from the brink, he just snaps because he can't stand to go through more M-Day shit. So he assembles a team to attack the Inhumans head on and he's willing to wipe them the fuck out if it means saving his species. He already lost his mentor, his wife, and his key to Emma's panties to shit like this. He's not dicking around anymore.

Naturally, it goes horribly fucking run because again, Marvel won't let anything happen to their precious Inhumans. It has to go so wrong that Cyclops ends up killing a lot of innocent humans while unleashing M-pox in the process. That means he gets all the blame and he goes down in infamy, probably dying horribly in the process. It's probably the most inglorious way for one of Marvel's most iconic X-men to die, but that's by far the most likely outcome. This is what happens to those who undermine the Inhumans. They die horribly.

Also, it would basically complete the process that Marvel has been doing for years now. Slowly, but steadily, they've been turning Cyclops into a villain. Avengers vs. X-men was a giant leap forward when he killed Xavier, albeit inadvertently. This is the final step in that process. They're basically doing to Cyclops what Breaking Bad did to Walter White. They're turning him from a boy scout into a criminal mastermind. You can't get much worse or out-of-character than genocide so that's what will happen. Mark it down. Etch it in adamantium. There will happen.

Again, I don't usually make predictions with such confidence. I've never been more confident this time because it makes too much sense and will generate too much outrage. That's perfectly in line with Marvel's recent tactics. See Captain America's recent Hydra fiasco for proof of that. It also effectively takes Cyclops off the table, something that Marvel has been working towards for quite some time now, beginning with Avengers vs. X-men. He was the X-men's top dog for many years. As such, he had to suffer a huge fucking downfall. Marvel tends to do that with any character that reaches that kind of success, which is why Peter Parker better watch his fucking back in the next couple years.

It's not entirely doom and gloom though. Keep in mind, there's still another Cyclops running around. The plot involving the time-displaced X-men is still ongoing. So if what Cyclops does is so horrible and destructive, that's fine. They can undo that shit courtesy of the O5's impact on the timeline. That impact is likely going to be part of another major X-men event down the line. It probably won't occur for a few years, but this definitely raises the stakes. That's why it has to be horrific. That's why it has to be so awful that it'll enrage Cyclops fans and X-men fans on every possible level. Outrage breeds attention. Attention breeds interest. Interest breeds sales. It's marketing on a level that even a drunk can understand.

So bookmark this post and come back to it later this year. I'm very confident that I'll vindicated. I won't make any guarantees. I don't make those while sober. Ever. However, I'm as certain as any drunk can be that Death of X will have Cyclops committing the worst possible atrocity he can commit and it'll be done in a way that completes the utter assassination of his character, paving the way for his teen counterpart to take over. Nuff said!

Civil War II: X-men #2: Nuff Said!

There are only a handful of circumstances when we feel comfortable rooting for the bad guy. Who among us doesn't watch a typical slasher movie and root for the killer when they zero in on the douche-bag jock or the bitchy cheerleader? Those circumstances are few and far between though. So it's more than a little jarring when Civil War II got me siding with Magneto over Storm in the conflict.

Don't get me wrong. I'll gladly side with Storm in damn near anything, be it a superhero civil war or a pie eating contest. I just can't bring myself to side with her this time. She actually favors helping the Inhumans, even as they have the ultimate weapon on their side with Ulysses. Magneto's argument of, "let's not kiss the asshole that's shitting on us," just makes too much sense. The divide is now set and Civil War II: X-men #2 is ready to widen it. I don't know about Storm or those who support her, but I tend to distance myself from conflicts that may result in shit stains on my lips.

Regardless of my support or the possibility of getting shit on my face, I will always side with Storm when it comes to her and the X-men fighting the Brood. Turns out that Ulysses is still deciding to be helpful to everyone, including mutants, and that means predicting a Brood attack in North Carolina because I guess the Brood are pissed off about bathroom laws as well. Storm is only too happy to help Captain Marvel stop this shit storm before it gets too messy and I'm only too happy to see the X-men work with Captain Marvel. With Emma Frost missing and Magik being a demon-loving teenager, the X-men needs a strong, tough, sexy blonde on their side.

Anyone who has seen the X-men fight the Brood before won't see anything they haven't seen before. It still makes for some solid action, but that action ends up being secondary. While they're kicking some Brood ass, Storm lets it slip that they told Magneto about Ulysses. Captain Marvel, knowing that Magneto is a vindictive son-of-a-bitch, is probably inclined to bang her head against the nearest adamantium-laced wall. She knows as well any strong, tough, sexy blonde that vindictive old asshats like Magneto tend to fuck things up. She also knows they'll be lucky if he does it with his pants on.

It makes for a tough, but necessary conversation between Storm and Captain Marvel. In any other situation, their words would inspire thoughts of them oil wrestling naked on a beach in Tahiti. However, this is too relevant an issue within the context of Civil War II. Storm is reluctant to act against Magneto, not wanting to immediately assume he'll do the biggest dick move first. It shows she really is no Cyclops. He'd assume that shit and he wouldn't even need Captain Marvel to flash her tits to convince him. Again, I don't usually like disagreeing with Storm, but when Cyclops and Captain Marvel are on the same page, that's a big red flag.

On top of her reluctance to make necessary assumptions, Storm is also having a hard time keeping her team intact. The end of the first issue already demonstrated how her leadership skills have plenty of room for improvement. Nightcrawler decided that being on the side that works with the Inhumans, the same assholes whose giant fart cloud is killing their kind, isn't exactly good for his soul. So he ditches them and shows up at Magneto's base. He then goes onto make the most reasonable argument a Catholic can make on a non-contraceptive issue.

He makes an argument not unlike the one Tony Stark made in Civil War II #1. The Catholic in him isn't comfortable condemning someone for shit before they actually do it. He also isn't comfortable with the idea of the Inhumans controlling someone as powerful as Ulysses. If they wanted, they could just say that he had a vision about mutants going crazy and they need to be slaughtered. That or some lawyers from Disney will get to him and then mutants would really be fucked.

It's a powerful moment for a character in need of such a moment. It's also powerful in that Nightcrawler effectively establishes another side to the conflict in Civil War II, at least as it applies to the X-men. We all know where Magneto stands on anything that aids the Inhumans. This shows that others are capable of reaching similar conclusions without coming off as an asshole. In any conflict, that's an important thing to establish.

It's just as important to be ready to make a dick move the moment it becomes necessary. That means knowing the where and how of making such a dick move, which is where Fantomex comes in. Can you think of anyone more qualified to set up a dick move? I think not.

Magneto sends him to New Attilan, probably with a side-mission to take a shit in the Inhumans' living room and change their wi-fi passwords. Sure, he was a total dick in Apocalypse Wars and has been a generally oversized dick since Uncanny X-Force. However, so long as his dickisness is directed at the Inhumans, I can't help but root for him. Just typing that makes me throw up a little on my mouth.

Turns out Magneto isn't the only one preparing for a dick move against the Inhumans. Storm doesn't have anyone who's as big a douche as Fantomex, but she is friends with Gambit and that's close enough. She sends him to confront Fantomex and it goes about as well as Shaqille O'neil's rap career.

They start fighting. The ladies are probably disappointed to see that their pants stay on. I know Channing Tatum fans are still prepping their panties for a potential Gambit movie, but this only offers a fraction of that sexiness. It's actually the first time Gambit has helped Storm's team in any capacity since Secret Wars. He picks a damn good time to get up off his ass and do something because any side that has Fantomex is likely a side that's going to frustrate Storm in the immediate future. Good thing her hair is already white.

The fighting here is covert and subtle, something that helps set it apart from a typical clash against the Brood. There's some nice banter between the two. Some heads get busted. Some noses get broken. This all happens while the Inhuman guards come off as competent as a Paul Blart style mall cop. It's rare that the Inhumans come off as anything other than Marvel's most cherished bitches these days so I'll take this while I can. It only gets a little messy when Fantomex forgets how Gambit can make shit blow up and not just women's panties. I still have a hard time rooting for Storm's side, but when Fantomex gets his ass kicked, I'm all for it.

So take comfort, Channing Tatum fans. Gambit wins this round. He kicks Fantomex's ass, knocks him out, and gets him out of New Attilan before the Inhumans have yet another reason wave their dicks in the face of the entire mutant race. Odin knows they don't need more of that. Gambit coordinates with O5 Jean to get the fuck out of there, but not before revealing that they've already lost some support among their ranks with Nightcrawler. That should be the second sign that they're about to walk right into a shit storm and since they're on the side of helping the Inhumans, they're going to come out stinking more than most.

Psylocke, for one, is not fond of excessive shit stains. She's also not fond of Magneto starting another war. It's not like the mutant race is equipped to win jack shit at this point. They've go the Inhumans, the Avengers, and Disney's legal team working against them. At this point, they might as well be the Cleveland Browns of the Marvel universe. On top of that, he works with Fantomex. That alone is reason enough for Psylocke to get the fuck out of there and spit in Magneto's face in the process.

It leads to a tense confrontation with Sabretooth. However, he knows he's ill-equipped to fight a badass psychic ninja. It's another solid moment of drama where we see dissent among the ranks of the X-men. Neither side seems able to generate a consensus of any kind and when you can't get consensus on a team with powerful psychics, then you've got a big fucking problem. At a time when the Inhumans get to play in the Marvel universe with cheat codes, you can't afford too many problems.

To his credit, Magneto doesn't add to these problems by going after Psylocke. He doesn't even crash the X-jet she steals. I get the sense he's saving a dick move like that for someone who deserves, namely the Inhumans. He's still down one badass psychic ninja. Not to knock Nightcrawler or anything, but Psylocke looks better in a thong and kicks more ass. So Magneto needs other allies to fuck over the Inhumans and honestly, I'm eager to see him tap every one of them. We know Marvel will let the Inhumans win by default, but we can at least trust Magneto to put up a decent fight.

So...is it awesome?

Well nobody's face is covered in shit just yet, but the approaching stench is clearly there. Again, Bunn does not rush things. He actually takes the time to lay out the differing sides within the X-men. What a fucking concept, right? Actually taking time to flesh out certain characters and explore their thoughts? Does he think this is a Brett Ratner movie or something? I'll set aside the sarcasm for a moment and just say there's a time for patience in a story. In a porno, it doesn't work. In a major tie-in story with a major crossover event, it does. It's really that simple.

Aside from a clash with the Brood, the action in Civil War II: X-men #2 was limited. However, the tension and the growing divide between the two teams of X-men escalates in a major way. Lines are drawn. Both sides try to stop one another before the shit starts flying. They only really delay it. The dramatic angle is the biggest appeal of this issue, but there's little doubt that asses are about to be kicked. Friendships are about to be strained. Balls are about to be busted and without Emma Frost no less. In other words, stock up on rubber boots and air freshners. Shit is about to get real.

Final Score: 7 out of 10
