It's finally here! I've been hyping it up. I've been preaching to X-men fans everywhere. Now it's here! The final issue of Sinister Intent has arrived for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I can't describe how great it feels to finish this story. It is the culmination of a number of elements started in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. It also sets the stage for a major shift in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. Whether you like fanfiction or are just an overall X-men fan, I think this story has something for everyone. It's a great moment for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Issue 34: Sinister Intent Part 3
Now I wouldn't make such a big deal of this if I didn't have a little something extra to go along with the update. Now usually when I commission art for the pics section, I do it for issues that have already transpired. Well I knew this issue was going to be special for X-men Supreme so ahead of time I commissioned a piece that I would release only once this issue was ready. It comes courtesy of an artist from DeviantArt named Blumoonx06x. She does wonderful work, especially on pieces based on X-men. So she was generous enough to commission a piece for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. To see it, check out the issue! It's placed in a very special moment that I think is a perfect moment for this issue.
Thanks a bunch, Blumoonx06x! I really appreciate it. I would also really appreciate it if everyone took some time to review or post comments on this issue. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series has some big moments coming up! It's important that I get feedback so I can make these stories as awesome as possible. Please contact me or post them on each issue. Thanks again to all those who have supported this fanfiction series! I deeply appreciate it. Until next time, take care and best wishes.

cousins wow!
ReplyDeleteYep! Madelyn Pryor is NOT an evil clone in X-men Supreme. I don't care for evil clones that much. Instead she's a twisted, sociopathic cousin. You'll learn more about her and her relationship to Jean down the line! I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, opening one's mind up COMPLETELY, to a telepath, while having sex? Are we seeing the act that creates the psychic bond?

You'll just have to wait and see! The relationship between Cyclops and Jean Grey is a process. It doesn't end with them professing their love. All too often, I've seen the comics and shows basically do nothing with their relationship. They how how they fall in love and even why, but they don't show the process of a relationship. Can their relationship actually be strong enough to create such a bond? That's part of the story that's going to be told. It'll continue developing well beyond Volume 2, but it begins now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I appreciate your support.

I ask because I have always wondered if the bond was as much accident as design. Has any other telepath in a relationship in all of Marvel comics done something like that? Not that I know of. When you start delving into it many questions come up.
ReplyDeleteIs Scott a latent telepath himself? (think of Ivanova from the science fiction series Babylon 5) A telepath with almost no real power outside himself, but it would explain several things in comic canon, such as why no one else could form a psychic bond. Does it take two rather than one? It would also explain why Cyclops has such a closed mind above and beyond the training he has (depending on the writer, of course) and why he was entrusted with Cerebro before any other X-Man, which becomes difficult to understand if he was unable to use it.
Is it something permanent whether the participants like it or not? How would you like to have someone else in your head all the time, even after you stop being in love with them? Is the reason no one else does it because of such permanent consequences?
Will it affect the individuality of the two in the bond? Will Scott remember things that happened to Jean even if she has never mentioned them to anyone at all, even him? Vice versa?

That's a good question. I'm not sure if any other telepath has done something like this, but I remember back in the old X-men cartoon that Lilandra and Xavier seemed to have something similar. Jean developed one with Logan in X-men Forever. So it's not unheard of. It does tend to emerge when the circumstances are right.
ReplyDeleteI tend to view Scott's end as being a guy who needs it in a way. He does tend to gravitate towards telepaths and why shouldn't he? He's a character who has always been very reserved emotionally. It's difficult for him to reach out to someone on a deeper level. A telepath can save him a few steps. It's easier for him, but that's just a theory. I'm not sure how far it would go.
In this case it's a product of mutual desire. Scott and Jean wanted to come together. They wanted to stop shutting each other out. In a ways it's a metaphor for stronger relationships where two characters really compliment each other. It's just the beginning for these two. I will be exploring it more down the line. For now, this is just how they come together. It's the beginning of a much larger story.
Thanks again for your comments. I hope you enjoy what I do!
