X-men Supreme Pics Update - New Commission From Brian Brinlee

The final arc of X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers has begun! This fanfiction series is ready to once again tell an amazing story that culminates in a major way. I'm very excited about seeing how it pans out and how readers respond. However, there will always be time for me to keep the other parts of X-men Supreme up-to-date. That includes new pics from the ever generous and ever talented Brian Brinlee. Once again, he has contributed to this fanfiction series in an amazing way. He has completed a commission for Issue 21: Chasing a Memory. It is the last issue of X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution, which means ever issue in that volume now has art to go along with it! This pic involves Wolverine reliving a tragic memory. It's a powerful moment and a wonderful way to round out Volume 1. Thanks Brian!

X-men Supreme Official Panels

The commissions for X-men Supreme are always a joy to add. I deeply appreciate Mr. Brinlee's contributions, but please keep in mind that I'm always open for others! If you have art skills and want to showcase them here on X-men Supreme, please contact me and we'll work something out! In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates as this fanfiction series enters it's greatest arc to date! Until next time, take care and best wishes! Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 36: Deadpool Part 1 is LIVE!

The big day has arrived! Today the X-men Supreme fanfiction series gets a fresh injection of insanity. I've been going out of my way to get people excited about this issue all week. No X-men series is complete until Deadpool shows up and fills it with his fourth-wall breaking awesomeness! I've been putting in extra hours to make sure that Deadpool's appearance in X-men Supreme is worthy of his character. He's one of Marvel's most notable and colorful figures. He's already shown up once in X-men Supreme, but in this new two-part arc his story will become a bit clearer. It will also become a lot more insane, but that comes with the package when you're dealing with Deadpool. I hope he offers some fresh life into this fanfiction series!

Issue 36: Deadpool Part 1

It's been a blast writing Deadpool and there's still a full issue of his madness to go! His presence in X-men Supreme will stand as a nice reprieve from the looming danger that lies just ahead. X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers is nearing it's end. That means there's a big, world-shattering conclusion just up ahead! The stage has been set throughout this volume, but it also culminates with many other stories that began in Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. So get ready for a wild ride! This fanfiction series is poised to unleash a new level of excitement!

I sincerely hope everyone enjoys my take on Deadpool. I'm not sure if I'll get an entry in the bios section yet. It depends on how the arc pans out. There is still plenty to come with the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and as always I implore everyone to send me feedback. Please post it in the comments section of the issue or contact me at any time. Thanks to everyone who has offered their support! I deeply appreciate it. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Pics Update - New Commission For Issue 20: Uprising Part 4

The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is entering an important phase. No X-men series is complete without a story about Deadpool. I'm well on my way to bringing him into this fanfiction series and I hope everyone enjoys it! Before we dig deep into the insanity that is Deadpool, I have a quick update for the pics section. Once agian, Brian Brinlee has submitted another amazing contribution. This time it's for Issue 20: Uprising Part 4. It covers one of the biggest moments in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution, depicting the fight between Wolverine and Magneto. I think he's capped off his run with Volume 1 in a big way! So please take the time to thank him if any of you get a chance.

X-men pics - Commissioned Panels

Thanks again, Brian! So this leaves only one issue left of Volume 1: Mutant Revolution without a commission. My goal is the same. I want to have a pic for every issue of X-men Supreme, past and future. I want X-men Supreme to be more than just a fanfiction series. I feel the art helps bring out what my words aren't enough to muster. Please remember that I'm always open to posting new art. So if you're interested in doing something for X-men Supreme or just want to get your art out there, please contact me and I'll be happy to discuss posting it! There's still plenty more to come. Deadpool is poised to make his big entrance into X-men Supreme! Hope you all enjoy it! Until then, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Issue 35: War Crimes is LIVE

It's another day and another big update for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series! And it isn't just because a new issue is ready. X-men Supreme Issue 34: Sinister Intent Part 3 turned out better than I could have hoped. I received three wonderful comments from some very wonderful reviewers. I can't thank those who took the time to post their feedback enough! The work I put into this fanfiction series is vast so it means a lot to me when others notice my efforts. I promised that the last arc will be a turning point for X-men Supreme. That turning point becomes more apparant with this new issue. It won't be a multi-part arc. It is a simple one-shot story that will have some far-reaching impact. I hope you enjoy it! The world of X-men Suprme still has plenty of story to tell.

Issue 35: War Crimes

In addition to the new issue, I recently acquired yet another new commission for the pics section! This marks two major updates when I'm able to compliment the story with some images. I would love it if this became common, but the past few updates have been lucky. This one is another wonderful image from Brian Brinlee. Once again, he's brought life to a dramatic scene in X-men Supreme Issue 18: Uprising Part 2. His work continues to astonish and I can't thank him enough for all his contributions! Please check out this and other commissions in my pics section.

X-men Supreme Official Panels

So the world of X-men Supreme continues to expand. The progression of conflicts continues to unfold and it's definitely building towards something. This fanfiction series will undergo plenty of dramatic changes and one lies just ahead at the end of Volume 2: War Powers. I hope you all continue to enjoy this series. As always, I encourage everyone in addition to the reviewers I mentioned earlier to post their comments on each issue or contact me directly. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Issue 34: Sinister Intent Part 3 is LIVE! (With a Bonus!)

It's finally here! I've been hyping it up. I've been preaching to X-men fans everywhere. Now it's here! The final issue of Sinister Intent has arrived for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I can't describe how great it feels to finish this story. It is the culmination of a number of elements started in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. It also sets the stage for a major shift in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. Whether you like fanfiction or are just an overall X-men fan, I think this story has something for everyone. It's a great moment for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Issue 34: Sinister Intent Part 3

Now I wouldn't make such a big deal of this if I didn't have a little something extra to go along with the update. Now usually when I commission art for the pics section, I do it for issues that have already transpired. Well I knew this issue was going to be special for X-men Supreme so ahead of time I commissioned a piece that I would release only once this issue was ready. It comes courtesy of an artist from DeviantArt named Blumoonx06x. She does wonderful work, especially on pieces based on X-men. So she was generous enough to commission a piece for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. To see it, check out the issue! It's placed in a very special moment that I think is a perfect moment for this issue.

Thanks a bunch, Blumoonx06x! I really appreciate it. I would also really appreciate it if everyone took some time to review or post comments on this issue. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series has some big moments coming up! It's important that I get feedback so I can make these stories as awesome as possible. Please contact me or post them on each issue. Thanks again to all those who have supported this fanfiction series! I deeply appreciate it. Until next time, take care and best wishes.

X-men Supreme Issue 32: Sinister Intent Part 1 is LIVE!

It's finally here! The story I've been building towards with X-men Supreme begins today! This fanfiction series has taken a number of twists and turn throughout Volume 2: War Powers. The last issue, Memory Musings, was a brief insight into the history of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. That trip wasn't just for nostalgia. As I stated clearly in one of my writing commandments, the past is the key to the present. What happened in the past is a big part of what will happen in this new arc. The X-men Supreme fanfiction is entering a new stage of it's development and from here, a new wave of possibiliites will unfold! So without further delay, I give all you X-men fans out there the first issue of Sinister Intent.

Issue 32: Sinister Intent Part 1

Now why am I making a big deal out of this arc? Well I can't say too much without spoiling some major stories. I can say that this arc will lay the foundation for a story that will have major ramifications in this volume and future volumes of X-men Supreme. It brings in some new characters while taking established characters to new depths. Part of the goal for this fanfiction series was to tell stories around these characters that fans can embrace. I've had 32 issues and some spin-offs to develop these famous characters. There's so much more I want to do with X-men Supreme and this arc is a major stepping stone.

The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is entering a new level of action. As such, it's very important that I get feedback for these issues. I know I've always asked for it at the end of each update, but this is a very important arc. I need to know that I'm doing it right! Please feel free to contact me at any time or post comments directly on the issue. I'm always up for talking X-men! This site has so much more room to grow and I look forward to developing it. Thanks to all those who have supported me thus far! I hope I continue to have your support as this fanfiction series continues to grow. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Issue 31: Sinister Intent PREVIEW

This past week was an important milestone for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. This humble X-men website has officially passed 10000 hits according to my hit counter. For a site that has been around for less than two years, that's a major feat. For all those who supported X-men Supreme, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate all those who take the time to follow this fanfiction series. I put a great deal of time and effort into making X-men Supreme awesome and I love it when I get to share it with others.

As much as I want to savor this accomplishment, the X-men Supreme fanfiction series goes on! I've been hard at work on the next chapter. It will mark the beginning of an important new arc. It's an arc that I've been building towards for quite some time. Everything from the Cajun Chaos arc to the recent story with Juggernaut and John Proudstar, have been sewing the proverbial seeds. Now X-men Supreme takes a major step with this new arc, Sinister Intent. The first issue is set for release in a week. As always, I've prepared a preview:

He made a good point, something not many people got from Remy. Given Rogue knew more about his history than others, she could see why he would think this way. She could also relate because she experienced family issues as well with Mystique. Compared to some of the other challenges she faced here at the X-men, she would take a hundred fights with Juggernaut rather than deal with her mother.

“Can’t believe Ah’m sayin’ this, but that makes a heck of a lot of sense,” she said.

“Remy can be insightful when he has to be,” he said with a playful grin.

“And yet you still ain’t taking any classes,” she pointed out, “You really should. If this is the kind of stuff you’re good at, why not take philosophy classes or something? The Professor did say you gotta take something if you’re gonna be part of the institute.”

“Philosophy huh?” he said with a touch of intrigue, “What good would that do a guy like Remy in the real world?”

“Try not to think of it like that. Heck, Ah’m takin’ liberal arts. But think about it, philosophy fits a guy like you. Remember how you told meh back in New Orleans how your mama taught you about right and wrong? Well maybe it doesn’t have to stop with her. It won’t be as exciting as stealing that priceless jewel you mentioned. But it would be something.”

It sounded reasonable. Thinking back to his foster mother and what she taught him, philosophy seemed right up his alley. And a guy as morally guided as Professor Xavier would have plenty to say about that issue.

“Remy will give it some thought,” he said as she took another puff of his cigarette, “But if Remy be in classes, he may not have as much time to spend with you.”

“Ah’m sure you’ll find any number of ways to catch up with meh,” grinned Rogue, “Who else are you gonna share a cigarette with on a nice sunny day like this? Heck, Logan’s the only other one who smokes.”

“And Logan ain’t as easy on the eyes,” he teased as he flipped a queen of hearts her way.

“Again with the flirting?”

“You’re still smiling,” Remy pointed out.

“And you’re still annoying meh,” she said, despite her smile, “Why can’t we just share a nice pack of cigarettes without the drama?”

“Now where be the fun in that?”

“Unlike some people, Ah do have classes,” sighed Rogue as she leaned back against the fountain and stared at the sky, “Ah can only have one more cigarette before I gotta go. So let’s just skip the flirting, look at the clouds, and relax.”

“Aw, don’t get tired on me, cherè. Besides, there ain’t even any clouds in the sky to look it! Remy would much rather look at you.”

“Ah’m sure,” she said, rolling her eyes, “Look all you want, Cajun, but at this point in mah life Ah want a break from the drama. Ah’ve had so much goin’ on lately that…”

Suddenly, Rogue froze in mid sentence. Remy noticed her expression become more urgent. She slowly rose up, tossing aside her half-finished cigarette in the process, and gazed up at the sky with dread.

“What is it, cherè? Was it something I said?” said Remy in a worried tone.

“Remy, look up at that cloud!” she said pointing into the sky.

“What cloud? Remy told you there ain’t a cloud in the sky.”

“Just look, damn it!”

Not arguing with her tone, Remy looked up and to his surprise he did see something. There was a strange cloud forming overhead. It was small, resembling the trail left by a plane when it flew by. But it was moving and shifting fast. It was unlike anything Remy had seen before, but Rogue seemed to know what it is.

“What the hell kind of cloud is that?” wondered Remy.

“It ain’t a cloud!” said Rogue strongly, “We better get the Professor! We’re about to be in a world of trouble!”

In addition to the preview, I've also updated the bios section. I wanted to wait until after the previous issue, Memory Musings, to post the bio for John Proudstar. He's a character that is substantially different compared to his comic counterpart. As such, his background is different as well. His bio should shed some light on who he is in X-men Supreme and where he came from. It will also offer hints to other potential stories in this fanfiction series.

Bios - Thunderbird

Once again, I deeply appreciate all those who have supported X-men Supreme and helped it get to 10,000 hits. Thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy the stories this fanfiction series has to offer. There is still plenty more to come! If ever you have any questions or comments, please contact me and I'll be happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Update - Pics, Juggernaut Bio, and New Commission From Brian Brinlee!

Time for a major update! I've been doing a lot of smaller updates for X-men Supreme lately so I decided to include every one of them in a single package. Between growing this fanfiction series, I've also been working on the bios and pics section. I know I recently did an update for the X-women section, I did not include an update for Rogue and Jean Grey. Well I've finally caught up! These two famous X-ladies have been given a healthy dose of fresh pics in their respective sections. They tend to be popular with artists (and who can blame them?) so there is usually a lot of material to add.

If that weren't enough, X-men Supreme also received another wonderful commission recently from the always talented Brian Brinlee. His wonderful contributions to this fanfiction series have really helped make it special and I hope everybody here takes time to thank him for his hard work. His latest piece takes place in Issue 12: Revenge of Weapon X Part 3 and provides a wonderful depiction of the awesome power of Magneto. It was a great moment in the history of this fanfiction series and Mr. Brinlee captured it perfectly! So after you're done checking out the Rogue and Jean's pics, be sure to check out Brian's latest masterpiece. It's every bit as awesome as an X-men fan could hope for.

X-men Supreme Commissions - Panels

The pics are all well and good, but art is only part of what makes X-men Supreme awesome. I also took some time to update the bios section. The latest issue of X-men Supreme entitled The Unstoppable Juggernaut introduced every X-men fan's favorite unstoppable force. As such, I've created an entry in the bios page that further explains his character in the world of X-men Supreme. There are some minor differences between this version and his comic book counterpart. Those differences will be further explored as this fanfiction series continues to unfold. So for those of you who couldn't get enough Juggernaut, you now have his story!

Bios - Juggernaut

So that should do it! This giant-sized update for X-men Supreme is complete! The bios and pics section should both be up to speed. Now I can focus on developing the next issue. I'll have a preview ready as always both here and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog. I know Juggernaut wasn't the only character I introduced in the last issue. John "Thunderbird" Proudstar made his debut as well. I do plan on doing a bios entry for him as well, but not until after the next issue. Thunderbird is featured heavily in this issue and his bio may spoil a few things. So stay tuned! There is still plenty to come from the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Thank you all very much for your support and please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or general feedback. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 30: The Unstoppable Juggernaut is LIVE!

The unstoppable has arrived in X-men Supreme! This fanfiction series has come a long way and introduced many new characters. Today, an X-men classic enters this world and NOT in a subtle way. That's right! The Juggernaut has arrived. There was no use being coy or mysterious this time. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is built upon elements from every major X-men incarnation so the appearance of Juggernaut was inevitable. He's the latest in a slew of new characters that have joined the cast of X-men Supreme in Volume 2: War Powers. As this incarnation of X-men continues to expand, the list of characters will expand as well. He couldn't be stopped so I didn't try to! Therefore it is with great excitment that I welcome Juggernaut to the world of X-men Supreme!

Issue 30: The Unstoppable Juggernaut

As much as I'm sure Juggernaut will leave his mark on X-men Supreme, he's not the only one that makes his debut in this issue. Another lesser known character also shows up. Some may not recognize him, but he has left an indellible mark on the history of X-men. However, he hasn't had much opportunity to shine in the comics or any of the movies or cartoons. Here in X-men Supreme, I'm not just trying to put a new twist on these classic comic characters. I'm trying to present them in a way that sets it apart as it's own Marvel universe. When you see this character, you'll see what I mean! He'll be the beginning of an exciting new plot that will dig deeper into the history of X-men Supreme. Keep in mind this fanfiction series began at a time when the X-men were already established. What happened before that? How did they come to be? It did NOT happen as it did in the comics or movies. I'll be digging into that story very soon!

As always, I strongly urge everybody who reads this issue and other issues to give feedback. Please post your comments in the comments section or contact me if you want to discuss this or any other issue. I would love to know what my fellow X-men fans think of this and I am always looking to make this series more awesome. With this issue, I plan on making another update to the bios section for Juggernaut and I still plan to update the pics section. Thanks again to everybody who has provided such wonderful support! My hit counter is closing in on 10000 and I couldn't be more proud! Let's get there soon so we can set our sights higher! Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Update - Gambit Bio and Pics

The next issue of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is almost here! However, I haven't forgotten about the other areas of the X-men Supreme website. I know I've been saying I would update the pics and bios section. Well today, that update is here! In the Cajun Chaos arc, I brought Remy Lebeau into the world of X-men Supreme. I managed to include many details of his life within the story. That doesn't always happen because for certain characters, the situation doesn't always arise. Either way, I'm including a bio to help new readers and old readers of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series understand who Gambit is in this world and why he is who he is. Like every character, I tried to give Gambit some solid depth. You can see my full assessment of his role in X-men Supreme in the bios section.

Bios - Gambit

In addition to the bios section, I did a long overdue update of the pics section. X-men Supreme is always looking to add new pics and I made sure I added plenty of images for your viewing pleasure! Most of these images are in the ever popular sexy X-ladies area. The images include glorious depictions of Mystique, Shadowcat, Storm, and the Scarlet Witch. As always I like to remind everybody that X-men Supreme is always willing to accept submissions to the pics section. So if you want your talent to be displayed on this website, please contact me and I'll be happy to discuss it!

I hope to make more updates in the near future to the pics section for X-men Supreme. I understand that Jean Grey and Rogue weren't included. This is because they tend to have a lot of pics and they take a while to upload. But I promise I'll get to them! I'll also be adding more characters to the bios section very soon as new faces are set to join the X-men Supreme fanfiction series! Please stay tuned for more and thank you for your support!

X-men Supreme Issue 30: The Unstoppable Juggernaut PREVIEW

It's April Fools Day and there's no joke about it. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is still churning along! The Cajun Chaos arc is over. The X-men now have a new member in Gambit. I still plan on giving him an entry in the bios section, but I've fallen a bit behind on that little project. Most of my attention remains on keeping this fanfiction series going without any delays. The next issue won't be an arc, but it'll be every be every bit as hard-hitting in more ways than one! That's because X-men Supreme is about to get a visit from the Juggernaut! He's one of the X-men's greatest enemies in pretty much every major medium. X-men Supreme will be no exception. I could easily make his debut in X-men Supreme a multi-part arc, but I've decided to condense it as best I can into a single issue. Here's a brief preview of what you can expect.

His soldier instincts kicked in. With the fires still burning around him, he grabbed Stan and punched his way out through the side door. He ran as fast as he could to get away from the smoke and fire. He stayed low in case this was some kind of ambush. He didn’t hear any gunshots or see any shooters. All he saw were seven burning convoys with no signs of survivors.

“Stan! Stan, stay with me!” he said.

But when he laid him out he saw only a charred corpse. Stan’s body was literally blackened from the fires and there was so much shrapnel lodged in his body there was no way he could have survived.

“Damn it!” he cursed, pounding his fist on the ground.

He then turned towards the rest of the convoys and took out his pocket communicator.

“All units, check in! Is everybody okay?” he yelled out, “Is anybody okay?!”

He got no response. All he heard was static. He could see in the other convoys the unmoving bodies of the unit. They were all burning with the rest of the vehicle, confirming what John feared. There were no other survivors. He was the only one.

Before he could mourn the loss of his unit, he heard another hard thud in the main transport compartment. Turning back towards the convoy he had been driving, he rushed towards the back area. This is where a large, armored compartment had been specially tailored to house their cargo/prisoner. It was sealed, reinforced, and locked so heavily it would have taken a tank to bust out. Unfortunately, the force inside was way more powerful than a tank.

“Oh you’ve gotta be kidding me!” groaned John.

More thuds erupted from the compartment. He noticed there was a strange greenish gas leaking from the bottom. That gas had been the only think keeping Marko immobile and contained. If too much of it leaked out, there was nothing stopping him from getting his full strength back. That was something John couldn’t allow.

“No you don’t, Marko!” grunted the Native American mutant, “You’re not getting out on my watch!”

But it was too late. Before John even reached the convoy, a deafening bang ripped through the area. The doors in the back, which had dozens of the best locks money could buy keeping them closed, was literally blown open as if it were made of cardboard. The rest of the back end of the convoy was then peeled open by two powerful arms that dug into the metal as if it were tin foil. John could only watch with dread as a hulking figure emerged from the wreck.

“Lock me up in a cage? Ha! When are you dumb-asses gonna learn? You can never cage me!” proclaimed a booming voice.

Those ominous words were that of Cain Marko, a man whose build was every bit as big as his boasting. His strength was even bigger. He stood nearly nine feet tall, his body utterly exploding with muscle. He wore a dark black body suit that looked reminiscent of an old paramilitary uniform, but the most dominating feature of his attire was the large bowl-shaped helmet covering his head. It allowed only his eyes and mouth to be seen, but that was enough to intimidate anybody who saw him.

This was bad. John knew full well what Cain was capable of. There was a good reason why the military went to such lengths to contain him. Once he was free, he was all but unstoppable. Nobody was safe. Even with his own strength, John was overmatched.

“Somebody out there must like me!” grinned Marko as he looked around at the destroyed convoys, “All this destruction and I wasn’t even part of it! Guess I’ll have to find another way to amuse myself!

“Ever consider board games, Marko?” said John.

“Ooh, guess I can enjoy the leftovers!” grinned Marko as he turned towards John.

Before John could put together any kind of attack, Marko grabbed the toppled convoy from the rear and with strength even John found impressive used it to hammer him into the hard rocky ground. All John Proudstar could do was hang on and brace himself. His whole body was driven into the ground leaving an outline of his body along with the impact of the vehicle. The impact left him dazed and woozy. His invulnerable form would protect him from serious injuries. But it was obvious now. He had no chance against this guy on his own.

“Ugh…we need better convoys,” he groaned as he crawled out from under the convoy.

Upon seeing John saunter to his feet, Marko scoffed and started marching down the road. He didn’t know who put together this little trap that freed him. He honestly couldn’t care less. The only thing on his mind was getting back at the man who put him in that cage. Now that he was free, nothing was going to stop him from exacting his due vengeance.

“That was barely worth my time,” he said in a gruff tone, “No time to sweat the small fries! I got bigger targets in mind! That stupid uncle of mine is gonna pay for locking me up! You hear me, Charley?! You’re a dead man! You can’t stop it! Nothing can stop the Juggernaut!”

As with every other major character that has shown up in X-men Supreme, Juggernaut will have a unique twist in this fanfiction series. I've kept some classic elements, but I've made a few changes as well. I wish I could go into detail about these changes, but you'll have to wait until the new issue! I promise it'll have the kind of impact you would expect of any unstoppable force! Juggernaut isn't the only one who will show up in the next issue of X-men Supreme. Another famous X-men will make his debut as well. I won't say who, but his impact on the X-men Supreme fanfiction series has been hinted at before. You'll see what I mean when this exciting issue is released!

Lately, I've actually received some emails and comments from readers. It isn't much, but it's greatly appreciated! I'm always open to discussing X-men Supreme, fanfiction, or X-men in general. If anybody wants to get in touch with me, please contact me at any time. There are some big moments coming up for X-men Supreme. This upcoming issue will lead into a series of events that will fundementally reshape the world of X-men Supreme. It's a critical time for this fanfiction series! I urge you all to provide feedback along the way because there's plenty of story left to tell. Even on April Fools Day, that's no joke!

X-men Supreme Issue #29: Cajun Chaos Part 3 is LIVE!

The time has come! Another arc in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is ready to conclude! Cajun Chaos has been an eventful little saga, introducing Remy Lebeau to the world of X-men Supreme and all the trouble he brings to the X-men. I hope all the Gambit fans out there are satisfied with how he's been portrayed. This fanfiction series walks a fine line, trying to re-tell the stories of these characters in a way that's familiar yet novel. Gambit has always had a somewhat murky backstory. I hope with the Cajun Chaos arc that even those who don't care for Gambit can still enjoy his portrayal in X-men Supreme. It all comes together with the third and final entry of this arc. It's live and ready for your viewing pleasure!

Issue 29: Cajun Chaos Part 3

I always love the feeling I get when a new character is added to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. As usual I'll include a full bio for Remy Lebeau in the bios section once it's ready. I also hope to have some more pics to post soon. For any artists out there, please know that I'm always open to posting your art here on X-men Supreme. I want this site to have as many reasons for X-men fans to visit as possible. This fanfiction series is moving into a new phase. The introduction of Remy Lebeau is just a prelude. A slew of new characters are set to show up in the next few issues. Stay tuned for more details! Expect a few twists along with some profound developments!

As always, I strongly encourage everybody to review each issue. There haven't been too many reviews so far and I hope that changes. I don't mind if the reviews are anonymous, but if you post a name I will mention you on these updates. If you ever want to contact me and talk X-men or fanfiction, I will gladly respond. I want X-men Supreme to be accessible to everybody. The more feedback I get, the more awesome I can make this fanfiction series. Thanks to everybody for their support! I hope it continues. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Issue 25: Power Play PREVIEW!

Another day another update for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series! Now that the bios section is up-to-date, I'm focusing on the meat of the series. X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers opened with a significant arc. I didn't want to beat around the bush this time. I wanted to bring some fresh elements into this fanfiction series. A new character like Nightcrawer is one way to take it. Another will take center stage in the Issue 25: Power Play. It won't introduce a string of new character, but it will bring back a few elements that were set up in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution! As always I've put together a quick preview below. I hope it gets all you X-men fans psyched for the next step in this unfolding fanfiction series!

It was somewhat surprising. Wanda actually looked excited about the idea of a mutant nation with legitimate authority in the international community. It seemed a lot less chaotic than the war her father pushed. It would free the mutants of this world that had been oppressed and that was her main concern. Looking around at this old facility, she was already picturing elaborate buildings and bustling squares where mutants could just live in peace.

Even the X-men weren’t adverse to it. It meant they wouldn’t have to keep coming here to clean up messes left by people like Hodge and Magneto. In a ways it would be an extension of the institute goal to give mutants an environment where they could thrive. With the mutant population growing, a full fledged nation sounded appropriate.

“It might actually work,” said Wanda as she started walking about the dilapidated area, ignoring the UN officials as they passed by, “We could turn this into a real homeland. Mutants would finally have a place to pursue their hopes and dreams without fear of persecution.”

“Plus, think of the tourism dollars,” grinned Angel, “I’m sure a nation of mutants will get everybody’s attention.”

“Hopefully for the better of course,” said Storm.

“Of course it’ll be better,” said Wanda, now smiling for the first time, “It could be more than just a mutant haven. It could be a sanctuary! Even father wouldn’t be completely opposed to such an idea.”

“Oh how would you know? Father’s in jail thanks to these meddling jerk offs,” scoffed Pietro.

That earned the speedster a look from all the X-men. He had a way of killing any sense of optimism and Wolverine wasn’t amused. He drew his claws again and pointed them right at Pietro’s neck. This time Cyclops didn’t hold him back.

“Bub! You’re seriously testing my patience and that ain’t smart!” growled the feral mutant.

“Logan no…” groaned Beast as he tried to step between them.

But Cyclops and Marvel Girl got in his way.

“Let it go, Beast,” said Cyclops in a serious tone.

“Yeah, Quicksilver needs the bejesus scared out of him,” snickered Marvel Girl.

Beast didn’t approve of such tactics, but none of the other X-men opposed Wolverine’s actions. They were just as sick of Pietro’s comments and if anyone could get him to fall in line besides his sister, it was Wolverine. But for some reason, Pietro remained defiant.

“What are you going to do? Stab me? Amputate my limbs?” scoffed Pietro, “That’s not very peaceful for an X-man.”

“Don’t insult me, speedy. There’s more than one way to beat some sense into a pig-headed punk like you!” growled Wolverine, his face just inches from Pietro.

It was the kind of threatening leer that made even Pietro hold back a bit. This was the same man who jumped a sentinel and took down his father. He wasn’t going to push him any further than he had to. His well-being may depend on it.

Sensing he got the message, Xavier gave Wolverine a look and the feral mutant withdrew his claws.

“Do us all a favor and keep your dumbass opinions to yourself! You don’t want to be part of the solution, you might as well get the hell…”

But Wolverine stopped in mid sentence. Just as he was putting Pietro in his place, his keen senses picked up on something strange. He started sniffing the air. Something didn’t smell right. Out of nowhere it smelled like something was burning. Within seconds the smell got progressively stronger. Soon, his instincts were giving him all kinds of bad vibes.

“Is something wrong, Wolverine?” asked the Professor suspiciously.

“Say, is it getting hot in here or am I just excited?” asked Iceman.

“Please tell me that’s a dirty joke,” said Rogue, who started to feel it as well.

“No, I’m serious,” he said, his ice form starting to melt, “It’s really getting…”

Then Wolverine picked up on something new. Something in the air wasn’t right. Now it wasn’t just burning. It was on the verge of exploding. This couldn’t be natural. It was as if someone or something was lighting a match and igniting the air around them. It all seemed to focus on a single area around Xavier. As soon as Wolverine traced it he acted on a whim.

“GET BACK!”

So far I'm pleased with how X-men Supreme Volume 2 is unfolding. I'm also really pleased to see more comments coming in. I mentioned rekkanoryo in my last update. She was very generous in reviewing a number of issues. I know it sounds like I make a big deal of it, but it really IS a big deal. X-men Supreme is a massive undertaking that takes up quite a bit of time (and money). It's important to get feedback so I know that I'm using all this effort effectively. So for everyone who takes the time to read X-men Supreme, please take the time to comment on each issue as well. If you have any questions or comments you want to ask me personally, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always willing to listen! Until next time, take care and best wishes X-men fans. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 23: Family and Fiends Part 2 PREVIEW

Well here we are, a day before Christmas and a week away from the first anniversary of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year already. X-men Supreme has come a long way and it still has so much further to go. The beginning of X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers has gotten things off to a solid beginning. I didn't get too many comments (there's still time to change that people!), but I'm satisfied with how I've got the ball rolling. This fanfiction series continues to expand with new and familiar X-men characters like Nightcrawler and Black Tom. I hope to have some entries on them in the bios section, but first the Family and Fiends arc must continue! Listed below is an extended preview of what you can expect in the next installment of X-men Supreme.

“We’re here,” said Black Tom, “You know what to do. Get in. Get the plans. Get out.”

“I know how zhis vorks,” said Kurt bitterly, “But it vould be much viser to come back late at night vhen there aren’t so many people.”

“We can’t afford to wait that long,” he said, “As we speak the military is working with Worthington’s army of well-paid eggheads to scan the plans onto secure mainframes. As soon as they’re done, they’ll destroy the originals. And I can’t have that.”

“You’re taking a much bigger risk by sending me in this blind! I may not even be able to extract the plans from zheir data drives.”

“Genosha used antiquated computer systems it stole form the old Soviet Union. I think you’re more than qualified to handle those systems. Wasn’t that the second thing your father taught you after fighting?”

Kurt tensed with anger at the mention of his father. But Black Tom was not intimidated. He just kept staring him down while casually twirling his cane.

“Enough with the stalling. Get going, Nightcralwer,” said Black Tom, “You have 30 minutes max. Amanda will stay under the watchful eye of Siryn until you return.”

“How nice of you,” he said dryly, “She better be okay vhen I get back. Otherwise I’ll show you firsthand zhe third thing my father taught me.”

With those ominous words Kurt teleported away, leaving a puff of sulfurous smoke in his wake. It was an impressive display and Black Tom had seen many. It should make this little plan of his a lot easier and a lot more interesting. It was almost a shame someone of Kurt’s skill was going to have to go to waste.

Once Nightcrawler was gone, one of his henchmen casually opened the passenger door. He casually stepped out and made his way to the van behind him where Siryn was keeping an eye on Amanda, at least as far as Kurt knew. About halfway to the van the door opened up on the passenger side as well and Siryn stepped out. She bore the same mischievous grin as her father. This was the part of the plan where things got more interesting. Once Kurt gave them what they wanted, he was in for a surprise.

“Is she ready, Siryn?” asked Black Tom.

“Oh she’s ready alright,” grinned Siryn, “I pumped her with enough sedative to down a pack of wolves. She won’t be waking up anytime soon.”

“Good, and what of the little ‘surprise’ I told you to set up?” he asked her.

“It just needs to be armed and she’ll be ready to go. I’ve already wired it to the van’s remote control mechanism. She won’t even know what hit her and neither will Nightcrawler.”

“And with any luck, some media personnel will still be present. They’ll most certainly want a shot of this. It’ll also give us a wee bit of free advertising. I’m sure many prospective clients will be very interested once they see this.”

Siryn couldn’t help but grin. Her father really knew how to cover every angle. It was an elaborate plan, but the payoff potential was huge. Too bad Kurt and Amanda wouldn’t be around to appreciate it.

“Your business sense never ceases to amaze me, father,” she said.

“It’s what I do,” he boasted as he turned back towards the van, “Now then, help me prepare the van. All we have to do now is wait for Nightcrawler and enjoy the fireworks.”
There is so much more I want to do with X-men Supreme. Volume 2: War Powers is just the next step in the evolution of this fanfiction series. I want it to go much further in terms of quality compared to Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. As such, it's very important that I get plenty of feedback and comments. If you have anything to say about X-men Supreme or X-men in general, please feel free to contact me at any time. I'm more than happy to answer any questions or concerns about this fanfiction series! Until then, the next issue is just around the corner and right in time for New Years no less! I hope everybody has a joyous and happy holidays. From X-men Supreme to everyone around the world, peace and love! Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 21: Chasing a Memory is LIVE!

Well it's here! The final issue of X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution is complete. It's been an eventful ride for this fanfiction series and this blog. What started on the first day of the new year has finally culminated with this latest issue. Like a real comic series, this issue helps bring an end to the events of one saga and set the stage for another. Writing fanfiction may not be the same as working for a company like Marvel, but the final product for this X-men series is as close as I can get at the moment. I hope the kind readers who have followed this fanfiction series and this blog feel the same.

Issue 21: Chasing a Memory

I've worked long and hard on developing this story. It feels great to get the first volume done. This is still just the beginning though. X-men Supreme still has plenty more to offer. Volume 2 is already in the works. I also have plans for a brief spin-off series. It will act as sort of a tie-in to Volume 1, taking certain characters that played prominent roles in story so far and giving them some personal time to think and reflect. The spin-off will be called Supreme Reflections and I'll have more details soon. So please check back on this for updates as well as some new reviews. I promise you won't have to wait more than a few weeks for more X-men Supreme! The new reviews should come even sooner!

For now, X-men Supreme Volume 1 is complete. This blog will continue with various comic news and reviews, albeit in the same limited fashion. For everyone who has supported this series so far, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! As always I urge every reader to post comments on the new issue as well as every issue in this series thus far. Feel free to let me know what you think on this blog or contact me directly if you have questions or feedback. I welcome it openly! Thanks again and I look forward to developing the world of X-men Supreme for years to come. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Issue 17: Uprising Part 1 PREVIEW

Wow...has it really been this long already since the X-men Supreme fanfiction series began? It seems like not much time has passed and yet it has. I say that because the beginning is about to end! The penultimate arc of X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution is almost upon us! It marks the first real event story of this fanfiction series. Anyone who has ever read Marvel or DC comics knows that every so often (sometimes too often), a big event is used to change the landscape of the universe the characters occupy. This new arc will do just that, bringing together many different elements from earlier issues for an action-packed story that will change the world of X-men Supreme. And unlike some of the other big events the big two have put out, hopefully this one won't suck.

For those of you who haven't been following X-men Supreme, now would be a great time to catch up! Only 16 issues in and a lot has happened. Characters have been introduced, relationships have formed, and secrets have been revealed. There is still a lot I want to do with this series and Volume 1 will be the bedrock from which I'll build X-men Supreme into something even greater. However, this series cannot be great without support from readers. So I implore everybody who reads this blog or my website to post comments or send feedback for my series. I want to make it great for everybody and I can't do that without your reviews!

It all begins here with "Uprising Part 1." Below is an extended preview that offers just a taste of what you can expect from X-men Supreme. Enjoy!

Over the line Cameron Hodge’s expression hardened. There wasn’t even a hint of concern. If anything he looked annoyed.

“Yes, I’m well aware of this pestilent questioning. But fear not. We need only hold them off a bit longer. They may not have gotten what they wanted in Chicago, but they will get what I promised them soon.”

“How soon?” asked the Colonel.

“You need not know the details, Colonel. You need only know I’ve made the necessary arrangements. We won’t have to be graveling these fools much longer.”

Colonel Kincaid still had plenty of concerns, but he trusted his leader’s bold words.

“Very well,” he said, “Should we begin evacuating the embassy? My people have already began shredding documents and purging hard drives.”

General Hodge grinned ominously on the video screen, sending a chill down the spines of even his trusted advisors.

“Don’t bother, Colonel. Like I said, I’ve made the necessary arrangements. Just stay where you are and wait for further instructions.”

“Yes sir,” said Jonathan Kincaid with a loyal salute.

The video link then went offline. Colonel Kincaid and the rest of his officials remained anxious, but they trusted in their leader’s wisdom. He had led them all this far. They had to have faith his master plan would come to pass as he promised.

The Colonel and his subordinates began gathering their things and prepared to get back to work. But just as they were about to get up, a strange tremor shook the room. It was minor at first. It barely made the lights flicker. But it quickly caught everyone’s attention.

“Sir, is Washington DC near a fault line?” asked one of his younger subordinates.

Colonel Kincaid’s expression became as dark as midnight.

“No…”

Before another word could be uttered, the lights completely cut off. Then in the span of a few seconds the tremor turned into an all out earthquake. The entire building shook violently, causing nearly everybody inside to fall over and cling desperately to anything they could. Confusion soon turned to panic and panic quickly became all out terror.

“Colonel! What’s going on?!” exclaimed a terrified female secretary.

“It’s an attack!” yelled the Colonel, “Everybody get to the shelter! Hurry before…”

But that was all he got out. Before anyone could begin to comprehend the gravity of this situation, a deafening crash came from all directions and everything went black.

X-men Supreme Issue 16: Pryde and Prejudice is LIVE!

I know plenty of you are still clamoring for comic reviews. Rest assured, I'll get to them. But first and foremost, I must tend to X-men Supreme. I had to work extra hard to get this update out on time. If I really was working for Marvel they would have been breathing down my neck for the the past two weeks, telling me that delays were not acceptable. I agree. I have no excuses. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series must continue and after some hiccups along the way, the new issue "Pryde and Prejudice" is ready.

X-men Supreme Issue 16: Pryde and Prejudice

This issue is just a one-shot, but it's a hell of a one-shot because it introduces a fan-favorite X-men character. I won't say who it is because the title alone should give it away. This issue also marks the beginning of the end for the first volume of X-men Supreme. So far a lot has happened and it is all for a purpose. The volume has been building towards a big event that will bring together the events of the entire series thus far in a big way. You'll see! Thanks again to all those who have been supporting this blog and this series. None of this would be possible without you. Until next time, take care and don't forget to review the new issue!

A Message From Joe Quesada

Well yesterday marked a milestone in my life with X-men Supreme. For over six months now I've been developing this fanfiction series, trying my hardest to set it apart from regular fanfiction. Already, it's been successful in a way I did not expect. My website has registered over 2200 hits and the feedback I've gotten while not very big in volume (although I seriously hope that changes *hint hint*) has been positive. But part of my goal wasn't just to create the most awesome fanfiction series in the history of X-men. I wanted this series to be special in that one day it would be recognized by Marvel.

I've already done a great deal of work to set X-men Supreme apart. I have spent time and hundreds of dollars of my own money putting this together. The art I've commissioned and the web services I've purchased are not cheap and I have absolutely no means of making that money back without getting into certain legal issues regarding copyright laws. How many other fanfiction writers can say they're that dedicated? Furthermore, how many other writers work hard to ensure that the series is updated biweekly like a real comic? It is because of this I hoped that somehow X-men Supreme would get an honorable mention as a legitimate expression of X-men.

To do this I sent an email to Joe Quesada himself, thanks to an email address provided by a very dedicated and awesome fan (you know who you are). This is the letter I sent:

Dear Mr. Quesada,

Greetings, I hope you are well and congratulations on your recent promotion at Marvel. You have a lot to be proud of and I have nothing but the utmost respect for you and what you've accomplished. I've long dreamed of one day joining Marvel and contributing my own creative works and recently I have begun something I hope will demonstrate my dedication and passion for comics.

First off, let me start by saying I'm a huge X-men fan. X-men has long been a favorite of mine since the days of the X-men Animated series. So last year I was deeply disappointed to see Ultimate X-men get canceled in wake of the events of Ultimatum. This comic had been my favorite for years. It was a fresh alternative to 616 and one I found more interesting in a number of ways. Luckily, 616 has really gotten more interesting since House of M and I've been avidly following the Second Coming crossover. However, I still feel like there's a void in the X-men universe. Now there is no real Ultimate style alternative. With so many big name X-men dead in Ultimate, it's impossible for it to carry itself as it once did. Other series like X-men Forever are still heavily based on 616 and aren't really full alternatives. So with no further outlets, I took it upon myself to create one for me and X-fans everywhere.

On the January 1st, 2010, the first day of the new decade, I launched my own website entitled X-men Supreme.

X-men Supreme Homepage

This website is a hub for a brand new Marvel Universe that I have created myself. I call it Marvel Universe 1015 (which is actually reflective of my birthday October 15th). On this site I act as though Marvel has employed me to write a new X-men series from the beginning, sort of like how Ultimate started. I started the same way Stan Lee did, using the Original Five and going from there. Since I cannot draw very well, I've done it in the format of fanfiction. But I try not to treat it as such. I have a strict schedule to work by and I call the new chapters 'issues' and not chapters. I also have a regular update schedule that I follow rigorously. Every two weeks on Friday, I add a new issue to the website that continues the unfolding saga of X-men. In the week prior to the update I offer previews as Marvel does before each release. So far I haven't missed a deadline nor do I intend to. Each issue is self-contained and I try to make it work and feel like the issue to a real comic series. They aren't short, spotty, and unrefined. I've summoned my years of writing experience to make this look professional and clean both in terms of style and characterization.

So far the site has been mildly successful. I have a hit counter on the site and it recently passed 1700 unique hits. I've even gained a small following and I've been listed on several fanfiction rings and I've been ranked on various search engines. But I have a strong desire to make X-men Supreme something more than regular fanfiction. I know Marvel by rule does not accept unsolicited work and I'm not asking that X-men Supreme be an exception. But is it at all possible that I can somehow get it recognized as a real series? By real I mean something that Marvel acknowledges in a creative context? Could I get X-men Supreme listed in the Marvel wiki or maybe get a link on your main website somewhere?

Please understand that I know all about copyright issues. I've cited copyright laws on my website stating that I make absolutely no money. In fact, this website has cost me a great deal of money to put together. I even had a title piece commissioned from www.comiconart.com to act as a centerpiece to my series. I've even had some inquiries from fans who want to contribute art of their own. I do not intend to profit from this venture at all. I only wish to gain some level of recognition as a passionate fan trying to contribute to Marvel and the X-men franchise. I would be more than willing to allow Marvel to advertise on my site and I would be more than willing to make adjustments per Marvel's request. If my small site can somehow help Marvel and X-men, then I am more than content with that. I know I can't be an X-men writer at the moment, but this is the closest I can get and I want it to be more than mere fanfiction.

I am a passionate comic fan and X-men Supreme has become part of that passion. I love what I do and I have enough stories with this website to update biweekly without interruption for the next three years. I could go much longer and I would love to do so with the knowledge that such passion is recognized by Marvel. Please don't think this is just me saying I think I know how to handle these characters better than writers like Matt Fraction, Chris Claremont, Zeb Wells, and Peter David. I know I have a long ways to go to reach their legend, but I would like to offer my take to the greater Marvel community.

Please let me know if this is possible in any way. Is there any way X-men Supreme can become special in the annuls of fan dedication? I understand that you're a busy man and if there's someone else at Marvel I need to discuss this with, please let me know. Thank you for your attention and your generosity. I deeply appreciate it and I wish you and your family nothing but the best. Keep up the good work and keep making Marvel as awesome as it can be.

Regards,
Jack

Now I'll be the first to admit I didn't expect a response, even if it was negative. However, just yesterday I got what I consider to be 4th of July present to remember. Mr. Quesada actually responded! This is what he said:

Jack sorry to say that there is no way that we would ever be able to sanction content that we not only don't create or control, but content that we did not solicit.

Sorry to be so blunt but I'm just trying to be honest. But also let's look at it more pragmatically. What about some other writer who is wither launching or has his or her own fan fiction site, are we to sanction all of these?

While I appreciate and understand your passion there really isn't anything I can do.

Beat
JQ

Granted, it was not the response I hoped. But I knew from day one that what I was asking for X-men Supreme would be a long shot. I had every indication that my request would be outright ignored. But Mr. Quesada did take the time to read my letter and acknowledge my passion. That in and of itself has to account for something and for that I deem it awesome.

So it does not look like X-men Supreme is going to get any kind of sanction or recognition. It's somewhat understandable. I'm just a fan who writes shit that may or may not be very good. If they recognize me then that creates a precedent that may be too cumbersome to handle. That could distract from Marvel's primary goal, which is to make awesome comics. And no honorable fan should want that.

I guess X-men Supreme is not going to be as big as it is now. It was a long shot and while my proposal was rejected, it was a shot worth taking. I guess the only thing I can do at this point is keep writing, making sure that X-men Supreme is still the greatest, least terrible fanfiction series on the web. I hope that one day this will change, but for now X-men Supreme is what it is. For what I've put into this, I'm okay with that. Nuff said.
