Hope everyone isn't too stuffed with Halloween candy to enjoy a new entry in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series! I've been hard at work on the next installment for Supreme Reflections and this time I face one of the biggest challenges any X-men writer can possibly face. It involves writing a solid Jean Grey. I can't think of too many comic book characters, X-men or otherwise, that evoke such heated emotions from fans. In both fanfiction and comics, she divides entire fanbases because her personal story as well as her character is just so compelling. Capturing that in an entry of Supreme Reflections was a major challenge. Dare I say, it's the most challenging thing I've written for this fanfiction series to date. But I'm proud of how it turned out and I hope other X-men fans approve.
Supreme Reflections: Jean Grey
I'm very interested in getting feedback for this entry. I know there are plenty of Jean Grey fans out there with very strong opinions. I hope they've enjoyed my take on her in X-men Supreme thus far. Rest assured, I have big plans for her later on in this fanfiction series. However, part of what makes X-men Supreme so deep is the variations between my version of the characters and their comic, movie, and cartoon counterparts. Jean Grey is a part of a much larger tapestry of characterization and I'll continue to explore that with Hank McCoy's entry in the next installment of Supreme Reflections.
Speaking of which, I'm going to try and update sooner this time. I know I've stuck to a strict biweekly schedule for most of X-men Supreme, but I've been on a bit of a roll with Supreme Reflections so I hope to get the next entry out a little quicker. If I can't, I'll let everyone know here and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog. However long it takes me, I encourage everyone to give me feedback on my work. Please post your comments in each issue or contact me at any time. I appreciate all your support and hope to continue expanding the world of X-men Supreme. Until next time, take care and best wishes!
Jack
