Price Decrease for Child of Orcus

It's been while since I mentioned my other writing endeavors outside X-men Supreme and this blog. I may give the impression that I only write about comics, but I do have serious aspirations about becoming an accomplished writer. So earlier this year, I announced that I self-published my first book through Amazon Kindle. So far, I've yet to get any sales or responses. I know that's to be expected of my first published work. But I'm still hoping that someone will take an interest in my non-comic writing.

As such, I've lowered the price for my first book, Child of Orcus. If you have enjoyed what I've done with X-men Supreme, then I think you'll enjoy the story I tell in Child of Orcus. It's a story that involves magic, mystery, deceit, and drama. I tried to give it the same attention and detail that I gave X-men Supreme. Now you can enjoy it for only $3.99, the cost of a typical comic. I would appreciate every bit of support that anyone could offer. I want to turn my writing skills into something more marketable. That can only help what I do here on this blog and with X-men Supreme. Thank you and if you're interested in Child of Orcus, you can purchase it at the following link:

X-men Supreme Issue 45: Hearts and Minds PREVIEW and Art Update

The first issue of X-men Supreme Volume 3: Ashes of Hope was a resounding success. Thank you everyone for your support and generous feedback! The first issue is always the hardest in a new volume. This fanfiction series continues to move forward, following many of the same themes as was demonstrated in Issue 44: Discrimination. The X-men have always been linked to social issues like discrimination and prejudice. I'll be expanding on this in the next issue and throughout X-men Supreme Volume 3: Ashes of Hope. I don't just want to tell stories about the X-men as superheroes. I want to show how they can be a real social force. So with that in mind, I've prepared an extended preview of what you can expect.

“Have you picked up any scents, Wolverine?” asked Storm.

“Down here, it’s pretty damn hard not too,” he snarled, “I’m guessin’ we’re under some burger joints and they just had a special.”

“Please Herr Logan! Do not go into detail!” said Nightcrawler, clutching his abdominal, “I don’t zhink my stomach can take it!”

“Relax Elf, that ain’t all I smell,” said the feral mutant as he came up to a T-junction in the pipes, “Someone else walked through this same pipe. Whoever they were they got that unforgettable Morlock aroma!”

“How many are there? Can you tell?” asked Cyclops.

Logan moved ahead further, sniffing the air more thoroughly as he did.

“I ain’t sure, but there’s more than a few,” he said, “A few are familiar. But there’s one other that smells…different.”

“Different how?” asked Gambit anxiously, “Different ‘round us ain’t ever a good thing.”

“Just because I smell them doesn’t mean I know their life story, bub!” said Wolverine in annoyance, “But I know the nose never lies! Something stinks here and it ain’t the freakin’ sewage!”

“Then let’s find it before we have to learn the hard way,” urged Storm, holding the feral mutant back from further outbursts, “Here, I’ll get the air moving. It should help you follow the trail.”

“Thanks darlin’. Just go easy on the gale force winds. We don’t want our mystery guest giving us the slip before we ‘introduce’ ourselves,” said Wolverine menacingly.

“I’ll be careful,” she assured him.

That was good enough for Wolverine. He let Storm kick up some wind to get the scent trail moving. With the others lighting the way with flashlights, the two of them took lead and led them through the maze of pipes. Storm looked a lot calmer than she did last time they were in the sewers. Her claustrophobia seemed to do better in the more open spaces of the Philadelphia sewers. Sticking close to Wolverine also seemed to help for whatever reason. A few even took notice.

“Is it just Remy or do Stormy and Wolverine seem a little…closer,” said Gambit under his breath.

“Yeah, Ah noticed that too,” said Rogue silently, “You think they shacked up or something?”

“Don’t know. Stormy ain’t said nothing and she usually tells Remy about these things,” he said.

“Doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.”

“Or they just be beating around the bush,” said Gambit as he carefully observed them, “Either way, Remy ain’t sure he likes it. I can’t imagine see a femme like Stormy going for a guy like Wolverine.”

“You’re one to talk, Cajun. She went for you, didn’t she?” quipped Rogue.

“That be different. Remy ain’t Logan. Only Logan be Logan. Take a homme like that and a femme like Storm and put them together, what do you get? Remy don’t know, but Remy ain’t sure.”

Rogue pondered that for a moment. She didn’t know Storm nearly as well as Gambit. To her she was the caring yet demanding teacher that always reached out to her students. The idea of her with someone like Wolverine did seem a bit out of place, considering the personalities of the other men she dated. She could say the same for Wolverine. She could see why he dated Jean, who was more outgoing and playful. Storm seemed too serious for him. But then again, stranger things had happened in the team.

“Ah don’t know either,” said Rogue, “What do you think, Kurt?”

“I’ll give you my input vhen my insides stops churning,” groaned Nightcrawler, “Can ve just get on vith zhis so ve can get out of here?”

“Seriously, homme, you gotta watch that diet of yours,” snickered Gambit.

Nightcrawler gave the Cajun a bemused look. He was not in the mood to argue anything having to do with food or ongoing dramas between their instructors. His only inclination was to find these rogue Morlocks and get out of here.

“Keep up you guys!” Cyclops called out from just up ahead as Wolverine and Storm started moving faster, “It looks like we’re closing in on something.”

“Finally! My stomach is grateful,” said an anxious Nightcrawler.

Wolverine was really onto something now. He was moving with that intensity he always got whenever he picked up on strong scent. That meant it had to be close. The team set aside their revulsion of being in a sewer and prepared themselves to strike the moment something came up. Professor Xavier had been adamant. They were to stop whatever this rogue Morlock planned before it caused a major scene.

They followed Logan towards a more open part of the sewer, most likely an area below an intersection. They noticed this part of the sewer was a lot older than the ones they entered in. The walls were lined with brick, which was thick with fungus and mold. The pipes were also a lot more rusted and leaking all around. It must mean they were in the historical district of the city, which just happened to be where Senator Kelly was giving his speech. Wolverine slowed his pursuit, stopping just before a junction towards three pipes. The scent was directing him down the central pipe.

“We got ‘em now!” said Wolverine, taking a predatory stance, “They’re just up ahead!”

In addition, I also have a fresh update to the pics section, courtesy of Brian Brinlee. Once again, he was generous enough to take time to do another commission for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. This time he took the big climax from Issue 25: Power Play and brought it to life. It was one of the most volatile moments of X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers and it set the stage for what would happen between Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch later on. Check it out along with the many other wondeful commissions for this fanfiction series in the X-men Supreme Official Panels section.

I know I've said this before, but X-men Supreme Volume 3: Ashes of Hope is going to be bigger and more expansive than the previous two volumes. This fanfiction series will start covering more plots and expand to more characters as the story unfolds. Because of this, it's very important that I continue to receive feedback from generous readers. X-men Supreme can only be awesome if there are people who care about it enough to see it continue. I really do enjoy writing this fanfiction series and I want it to be as awesome as possible. So far, I've had some wonderful support from certain readers. I would like that list of readers to increase. If at any time you have questions or comments for this fanfiction series, please don't hesitate to contact me. Until next time, take care and best wishes everybody!

X-men Supreme Issue 35: War Crimes is LIVE

It's another day and another big update for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series! And it isn't just because a new issue is ready. X-men Supreme Issue 34: Sinister Intent Part 3 turned out better than I could have hoped. I received three wonderful comments from some very wonderful reviewers. I can't thank those who took the time to post their feedback enough! The work I put into this fanfiction series is vast so it means a lot to me when others notice my efforts. I promised that the last arc will be a turning point for X-men Supreme. That turning point becomes more apparant with this new issue. It won't be a multi-part arc. It is a simple one-shot story that will have some far-reaching impact. I hope you enjoy it! The world of X-men Suprme still has plenty of story to tell.

Issue 35: War Crimes

In addition to the new issue, I recently acquired yet another new commission for the pics section! This marks two major updates when I'm able to compliment the story with some images. I would love it if this became common, but the past few updates have been lucky. This one is another wonderful image from Brian Brinlee. Once again, he's brought life to a dramatic scene in X-men Supreme Issue 18: Uprising Part 2. His work continues to astonish and I can't thank him enough for all his contributions! Please check out this and other commissions in my pics section.

X-men Supreme Official Panels

So the world of X-men Supreme continues to expand. The progression of conflicts continues to unfold and it's definitely building towards something. This fanfiction series will undergo plenty of dramatic changes and one lies just ahead at the end of Volume 2: War Powers. I hope you all continue to enjoy this series. As always, I encourage everyone in addition to the reviewers I mentioned earlier to post their comments on each issue or contact me directly. Until next time, take care and best wishes!

X-men Supreme Pics Update - New Commission By Brian Brinlee

I'm very excited about the final issue of the Sinister Intent arc. It will mark a major turning point for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. It's still set for it's regular update, but before this story culminates I have a special update! Normally, those special updates involve new art for the pics section and the best of those pics come from the generous and talented Brian Brinlee. He's done some amazing work for the X-men Supreme. He's brought some of the most powerful scenes of this fanfiction series to life. Well once again, he's contributed in a big way! I know I say this a lot, but it may be his best work yet. You can see for yourself in the X-men Supreme pics section!

X-men Supreme Official Panels

He brought out his best for one of the biggest moment in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. Brian has been very generous at distrubting his talent beyond the X-men. He's done a great job depicting other characters such as the Brotherhood and the Morlocks. Once again, he takes on the Brotherhood and gives them new life! The scene takes place in Issue 17: Uprising Part 1. In this scene the Brotherhood destroy the Genosha embassy, setting the stage for the massive conflict that would draw the X-men and the rest of the world into the chaos. It's a difficult scene to depict, but Brian nailed it! He also gave a unique, X-men Supreme look to characters like Pyro and Avalanche. So once again, I can't help but thank Mr. Brinlee for his wonderful work. This one is truly special!

I hope Brian continues to contribute his talent to the world of X-men Supreme. I have so much more story I want to tell. Right now, the Sinister Intent arc is my chief focus. Check back soon for the ultimate conclusion! You won't want to miss it! In the meantime, I'm open to other artists contributing their work for X-men Supreme. If you want to submit something or you just want to talk X-men, feel free to contact me at any time! Until next time, take care and best wishes.

X-men Supreme Update - New Commission and Pics Update

I've already started the next and final issue of the Sinister Intent arc for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I promise to all you hardcore X-men fans out there that it'll be an ending to remember! In the meantime, I'm overdue for an update to the pics section. I waited until today because once again, the ever talented Brian Brinlee has contributed a new piece to X-men Supreme. His work has been a marvel for this fanfiction series. I can't thank him enough for donating his time and talent to this website. This time, he's done a masterful image for Issue 15: Underworld Part 2. It covers a big moment between Cyclops and the Morlocks. Once again, I thank him for his contributions to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series.

X-men Supreme Official Panels

So long as Brian Brinlee is hard at work, I also made sure the pics section is updated. Namely, the ever popular X-ladies section has gotten a fresh batch of work! I'm always on the look-out for new images to grace the X-men Supreme website. I was able to add some new work to Mystique, Storm, Shadowcat, and the Scarlet Witch. I hope to add more X-women into the mix. By the end of Sinister Intent, I'll finally be able to add a certain X-lady that I've been looking forward to add for quite some time. I don't want to spoil it so you'll have to wait until the end of Sinister Intent!

As always, I deeply thank everybody who has given their support to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Thank you to those anonymous reviewers who have posted comments on recent issues. Please note you don't have to be anonymous. Feel free to make yourself part of the discussion! Also, don't be afraid to contact me if you have any questions or comments. I'm always open to talking X-men or fanfiction. I'm also open to any art submissions for the pics section. Thanks again everybody! Until next time, take care and best wishes.

X-men Supreme Update - Pics, Juggernaut Bio, and New Commission From Brian Brinlee!

Time for a major update! I've been doing a lot of smaller updates for X-men Supreme lately so I decided to include every one of them in a single package. Between growing this fanfiction series, I've also been working on the bios and pics section. I know I recently did an update for the X-women section, I did not include an update for Rogue and Jean Grey. Well I've finally caught up! These two famous X-ladies have been given a healthy dose of fresh pics in their respective sections. They tend to be popular with artists (and who can blame them?) so there is usually a lot of material to add.

If that weren't enough, X-men Supreme also received another wonderful commission recently from the always talented Brian Brinlee. His wonderful contributions to this fanfiction series have really helped make it special and I hope everybody here takes time to thank him for his hard work. His latest piece takes place in Issue 12: Revenge of Weapon X Part 3 and provides a wonderful depiction of the awesome power of Magneto. It was a great moment in the history of this fanfiction series and Mr. Brinlee captured it perfectly! So after you're done checking out the Rogue and Jean's pics, be sure to check out Brian's latest masterpiece. It's every bit as awesome as an X-men fan could hope for.

X-men Supreme Commissions - Panels

The pics are all well and good, but art is only part of what makes X-men Supreme awesome. I also took some time to update the bios section. The latest issue of X-men Supreme entitled The Unstoppable Juggernaut introduced every X-men fan's favorite unstoppable force. As such, I've created an entry in the bios page that further explains his character in the world of X-men Supreme. There are some minor differences between this version and his comic book counterpart. Those differences will be further explored as this fanfiction series continues to unfold. So for those of you who couldn't get enough Juggernaut, you now have his story!

Bios - Juggernaut

So that should do it! This giant-sized update for X-men Supreme is complete! The bios and pics section should both be up to speed. Now I can focus on developing the next issue. I'll have a preview ready as always both here and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog. I know Juggernaut wasn't the only character I introduced in the last issue. John "Thunderbird" Proudstar made his debut as well. I do plan on doing a bios entry for him as well, but not until after the next issue. Thunderbird is featured heavily in this issue and his bio may spoil a few things. So stay tuned! There is still plenty to come from the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Thank you all very much for your support and please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or general feedback. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Update: New Commissioned Art for Issue 11: Revenge of Weapon X Part 2

I know I just updated the X-men Supreme fanfiction series yesterday. I also know that it's been a while since I updated the pics section, namely the panels area. Well that changes today! The wonderfully talented Brian Brinlee is back in action! He's created some wonderful commissions for X-men Supreme and his talent continues to astound me. This most recent pic comes from the pages of Issue 11: Revenge of Weapon X Part 2. He captured the powerful scene between General Wraith and Professor Xavier. In this scene the two men confront each other and their opposing ideas clash. It's one of the most important scenes in the arc and Brian captured it perfectly! You can view the full image in the panels section.

X-men Supreme Panel Commissions

Thanks again for making X-men Supreme all the more awesome, Brian! As I've mentioned before, I'm open for other commissions. If you have something you want to contribute to X-men Supreme, then by all means! Contact me and I'll be happy to post it and give full credit. I plan on doing a larger update of the pics section soon, but a fresh image from Brian Brinlee takes priority! Stay tuned for more updates to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series as they come in! Until then, take care and best wishes.

X-men Supreme Update - New Panel for Issue 10: Revenge of Weapon X Part 1

Time for another update! The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is still moving along at it's regular pace, but as always whenever I get a new piece of art for the pics section that I just have to share I make it known! X-men Supreme can't be like regular fanfiction and rely solely on words. That's why I've gone out of my way and spent time and money to commission artwork that captures the awesome of X-men Supreme. Once again, it's Brian Brinlee who contributes to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series with his talent. He's done numerous pieces to date and his latest takes place in Issue 10: Revenge of Weapon X Part 1 from X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. You can marvel in it's awesomeness in the pics section or see it right here!

This pic covers one of the most pivotal moments of the issue. Weapon X had stormed the Xavier Institute in a surprise attack. At first the X-men were able to hold them off. The turning point game when Storm was shot. It horrifed Beast and emboldened the forces of Weapon X. It was the beginning of the X-men's lowest moments in the series to that point. They ended up being captured and Weapon X demonstrated why they were a force to be reckoned with. Brian Brinlee really captured the spectacle of the moment here and did a fantastic job with the colors. Once again, X-men Supreme is in his debt. Thanks Brian!

As always, I encourage anyone else who wants to submit artwork to this site to do so. Please contact me at any time if you wish to contribute. I'll be happy to post it, give you credit, and praise you as I have done with Mr. Brinlee. Also, don't forget to comment on past, present, and future issues of X-men Supreme! There's plenty coming at the end of this week and the weeks that follow. Until then, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Update - New Pic For Issue 9: Off Night Part 2

I know I just updated yesterday. Sometimes I just can't stay away from the world of X-men Supreme. This fanfiction series is a big part of my life and I'm always trying to make it more awesome. And as it just so happens, that overall awesome has been enhanced thanks to new artwork from X-men Supreme's old friend, Brian Brinlee. Once again he has graced us with a new piece straight from the pages of X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. I know it's been a while since the first volume ended, but I'm always looking for ways to enhance X-men Supreme and that includes parts already completed.

This latest masterpiece comes from Issue 9: Off Night Part 2 and features the likes of Lorna, Angel, and the Scarlet Witch. It brings to life one of the most action-packed scenes in the issue and is a worthy addition to the X-men Supreme Panels section! As always I deeply appreciate Mr. Brinlee's wonderful work. Please don't think he's the only one I allow to post art on this site. If anyone else out there would like to see their work posted and praised, please send it to me! Contact me and I'll be happy to post it if I feel it adds to the overall awesome of X-men Supreme. This fanfiction series has so much to offer and words aren't always enough to convey it. So please all you artists out there, share your talent with X-men Supreme!

As stated in the last post, I'm on schedule to finish the last arc of the Family and Fiends saga. The next step in X-men Supreme will arrive soon and I also hope to update other parts of the pics section as well. Thanks to everyone who has continued to support the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and I hope it continues through 2011. Excelsior!

X-men Supreme Update - New Pic for Issue 8: Off Night Part 1

X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers is almost upon us! This fanfiction series is set to continue on schedule, but before it does I have a quick update for Volume 1. Another wonderful piece of art has come in from Brian Brinlee. As always, his work is special enough to warrant a full blown update. His skills have done a lot to make the X-men Supreme fanfiction series all the more awesome. This piece is from Issue 8: Off Night Part 1 and features the likes of Iceman, Lorna, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch. Once again, Mr. Brinlee helps bring X-men Supreme to life! You can check out this panel and others at the following link:

X-men Supreme Update - New Panel Art

Don't panic over this update! I'm not delaying X-men Supreme again. The next entry for this fanfiction series is still on track and on schedule as promised. But I simply cannot wait until then to post this update. I know I updated the pics section recently with new images of the X-women. Now I have another update for the panels section and that's always a big deal for this series. Once again, artist Brian Brinlee has contributed to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series in a big way. This time he has provided a very graphic piece straight from the pages of Issue 7: Mother Knows Best, which features a scene involving Rogue, Mystique, and Wolverine.

X-men Supreme Pics - Panels

As always, I'm deeply honored for someone like Mr. Brinlee to contribute to X-men Supreme. This moment was a big moment in that it sealed Rogue's decision to become a member of the X-men. It also began a long string of drama between her and Mystique, some of which will play out in Volume 2. I'm still hard at work on making this follow-up even more awesome than Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. Stay tuned for more updates and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or feedback. Also, if you would like to join Brian in contributing to X-men Supreme I would definitely welcome that as well!
